That was very concise and spot on. Do it all and it will run a very long time.
ОтветитьIs there any ideas or tips you have to help test if your water pump is bad ? Clogged or bad ? Would make a get vid if not
ОтветитьWhat about engine surge, any suggestions?
ОтветитьExcellent job.
ОтветитьExcellent tips
ОтветитьI live in New Orleans. It very rages to freezing here
ОтветитьTip add a decent inline water filter inline ,1 grain of sand is enough to destroy the pump head seals ,
ОтветитьNot applicable to central Florida users
ОтветитьHi, I have a Honda pressure washer that diesel fuel was put in instead of regular fuel. The washer does not start anymore. Is it repairable or do I need to buy another one?
ОтветитьMy craftsman gas 2500 pressure washer stop building up pressure in middle of using it
ОтветитьUse pump armor even if you're sure it's not going to freeze! The pump armor will displace the water in the pump preventing it from corroding all of the internal parts!
ОтветитьYes, the very worst damage to any pressure washer has been due to lending it out or having an inexperienced operator use it.
I Just run water through the pump and I wait until the air pockets blow through...
However I did not know that letting the motor idle would overheat the pump.
Forgetting to flush out the hose before connecting it is a Romper Room No No...
Have you ever gotten a mouthful of ants or a dead lizard when getting a quick wet your whistle from the hose??? LOL
Learned that when I was a little kid.
Anyway thanks to y'all for your input even with all of the disagreements...
PS
A pre-filter is a good idea?
Until it gets clogged up.
Thinking about adding a 10 micron spun filter right to my machine.
Cheaper than a new pump.
Thanks for the NICE video.
ОтветитьI use pink stuff like trailer and fill hose up and air thru it
Works great too
Have used old regular antifreeze also 😊😊
Thanks
Need to repost this in a month for several months
The most damaging thing I ever did to a pressure washer was to lend it out. Even when you educate them on how to run it, they always say they know how it works. Then it comes back busted. 4th one in 4 years. Not this one though, lesson learned. Great vid. Thanks
ОтветитьMerci Canada M.T.L Québec wow love 😅😊
ОтветитьVery good info, Thanks!!
ОтветитьFrom what I have read you need the water going in around 60psi so if you are using lake water you need a booster pump and filter between the pump and water source.
ОтветитьGood tips. Additionally some start up the engine BEFORE they turn on the hose. This will turn the pump to toast very quickly.
ОтветитьI bought a garden hose thread to 3/4" PVC adapter at Ace hardware (only place I have found these adapters at) glued it onto 8" of 3/4 PVC pipe with a 90 degree fitting and 3" piece of PVC glued onto the other end. Thread it into your pump and pour some anti-freeze into it and pull starter rope till some anti-freeze comes out the hgih pressure outlet. That short PVC adapter when filled up usually is enough anti freeze to go all the way thru pump and you don't have to turn the pressure washer on its side and dripple it in. You could also use and old garden hose cut off to do the same thing, although you have to secure the cut end of the hose to something to keep it full of anti-freeze while pulling the starter rope.
ОтветитьOne of the best videos I've seen I'm one of those guys who does everything right with my washer "except" I had no idea about leaving it running without water going through that was a wow! For me looks like I'll have to buy a new pump the Honda works and starts great so it should be worth the $100 can
I also came across info that indicated these pumps only have about 100 hour life I certainly have more
Thanks a lot for your tips! God bless you!
ОтветитьCould you use the same pump armor that is used for airless paint sprayers?
ОтветитьImpietant and informative video presented very well. Thank you.
ОтветитьThank u so much
ОтветитьGood advice. My owners manual says "don't run more than 2 minutes without spraying "
ОтветитьGood vid but where's the vid showing how to replace the seals/gaskets inside the pump? The pump is almost as expensive as the whole unit so for the price of some seals, it should be able to be fixed internally. If not, why not?
ОтветитьI have an older pressure washer with the Honda engine. It’s worked great for many years. When I got it out this year and hooked the garden hose to it and attempted to bleed the air out of it before starting I could not get any water to come out of the wand. I unhooked the wand and still no water came out of the pump outlet. What could the problem be?
ОтветитьGreat video. Is it ok to leave water in the pump if it is kept inside, or should it be blown out with low pressure air when finished?
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьI work at a golf courses an we use a gas pressure washer an we have kids that can't mow a lawn an the are suppose to use this most of the problems are running it dry they don't turn on the water it will kill it quick
ОтветитьI have the exact same Karcher Pressure washer leaking white oil where the pump connects to the Engine. The engine oil is fine so it's the pump. Is the pump fixable or should I buy a new pump?
ОтветитьLending your pressure washer to people will also kill it….ask me how I know.
ОтветитьGood info. Except, you put the NEW screen in backward and then crushed it. The convex side of the screen (the bulbous side) goes inward on the hose connection. So my manual says.
ОтветитьWhy non-detergent oil?
ОтветитьTake a air hose a blow threw the soap hose, squeeze the handle, and all the water will shoot out.
ОтветитьI had a pressure washer that just said not to run it without being hooked up to the hose. It had a safety valve or something that would open up if it got too hot and run water through and onto the ground.
ОтветитьGood video as usual but no help for this problem and you tube has no repair videos for it anywhere I can find. My homelite pressure washer will not unload keeps high pressure all the time. Replaced unloader swapped out the wand for surface cleaner no difference. My pump is the vertical one under the engine any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
ОтветитьThis was surprisingly valuable info. Thank you!
ОтветитьExcellent discrimination!
ОтветитьTake everything readable out of the bathroom and leave your owners manuals on the tank of the toilet.
Ответитьthis is the model for a video. No wasted time. No packing on useless exposition. Straight to the point. Thank you for appreciating people’s time. Excellent video.
ОтветитьAs someone who also works on small engines this is why I went electric on my pressure washer. If you don't need more than 2000 psi electric are normally more than enough for the job. Also you don't have to worry about burning out the pump, because it will stop running (provided you have it set up correctly, and I you easily store it in my basement in the winter as they are light weight.
ОтветитьGood job keep up the good work
ОтветитьDoes Simpson 3300 have a bypass for not pulling the trigger?
ОтветитьAnyone have ideas on how to fix the soap dispenser on an electric Sun Joe 2030 psi washer?
ОтветитьGreat tip
ОтветитьGreat video, BUT you left out a very important item. Before you connect your water supply, MAKE SURE you get the required static & dynamic pressure and flow rate from your supply hose. For example, your pump may require 2.5 GPM (gallons per minute) and a minimum pressure of 20 PSI. You may have a static house pressure of 80 PSI, but when the water is flowing at 2.5 GPM, the dynamic pressure may drop to 20 PSI. For the flow rate, use a bucket and measure how fast it fills to 2.5 gallons.
