Change the batteries in your thermostat! I just did it and it worked.
ОтветитьHi, I have one question. About furnace. After I replaced the ZONE BOARD, I have A/C but I don't have Heat. Further diag, i dont have power to inducer. Dvom test I don't have 24v at the white wire at furnace board. My zone board have signal for thermostat call for heat. When I jump Between C & W the inducer run and heat system operating as normal. I have replaced one thermostat Just for testing. But it's don't make a difference. Have A/C. But NO heat. I have goodman single state GAS FURNACE. I need your help to guide me to a right video for further diagnosis. I just wonder if my BRAND NEW ZONE BOARD IS BAD (honeywell hz432) Thanks for any help!!
ОтветитьI deal with compact unita like magic packs
ОтветитьWhat about furnaces that dont have the led
ОтветитьFunny dad jokes, thanks for making us laugh while we're stressed about furnaces
ОтветитьThanks❤
ОтветитьI had to change the wifi settings and afterwards when I select heat I get cold air. I have a Honeywell 7 day programmable thermostat.
ОтветитьMy vivint thermostat keeps raising the temperature and not keeping at the temperature of 70 that I set. Raises up to 77 and furnace keeps giving heat to. my radiators. HELP!!
ОтветитьHaving an old unit sucks but can't afford to get a new one. I've have boards replaced, contactors, capacitors, ignitor replaced. Furnace was firing up over the weekend. Try to turn it on yesterday, it doesn't attempt to ignite. Going to check some things today and see if there's anything I can do myself because I'm getting tired of dealing with it at this point. Can't just let space heaters run while we're gone
Ответитьwhat does low heat mean on a thermostat??
ОтветитьWhat profession would it be called to ask someone with a job to help?
Electrician?
Does every furnace have a filter ?
ОтветитьWhen looking at these fixes for my furnace, I had a different problem but a super simple one. One of the removable furnace panels has a switch/button that will depress when the cover is on. My cover was not on appropriately and that’s why it wouldn’t turn on. Good luck!!
ОтветитьWhat would be the cause if the red light is not on at all. Heater works and then just shuts off red light off. Changed thermostat and worked for a while and just shut off, I had to take off the panels and start it by hand and it will start .
ОтветитьOur thermostat worked fine, we installed and wifi honeywell thermostat and it wont keep temp if we set up schedule, for 68 overnight next morning it reads 56, if we set on permanent hold and it was fine. any suggestions? anyone?
ОтветитьNew subscriber here. Not sure if you’ve covered this already in previous videos but can I use rechargeable batteries in my thermostat or is it something you don’t recommend?
ОтветитьThx for the helpful tip. Luv the Dad jokes😂
ОтветитьMy thermostat batteries died I changed them now the heat or air won’t kick back on after changing the battery. Plz help 😮
ОтветитьMy heat pump is in the attic. I am not able to climb the ladder to access it. I did replace the filter and batteries. any ideas.
ОтветитьThis was totally helpful. A 2 year old furnace was not running regularly on schedule. After watching this video I learned I can look up error codes from the furnace. I originally thought it was my thermostat but that checked out fine. It was really easy to find to just look through the site glass and see the blinking red LED "telling me" that the air flow was wrong which lead me to check the filter. It was totally blocked. Just simply cleaning it fixed the problem. Probably saved me from burning out the motor. Will check the filter more regularly. Thanks for posting this.
ОтветитьMy Honeywell thermostat keeps clicking none stop!! Help!
So we turn it off completely...only clicks when on heat. Ty
Any idea if concentric furnace vents go bad inside or need replacing?
I replaced my inducer blow motor assembly bc my furnace wasn’t running and the motor was hot and opened it up inside and had broke fan teeth. One the new one was installed furnace kicked on no problem. Now when it falls before the set temperature and doesn’t to turn on it cycles inducer motor starts but blower does not kick on, and can hear the pvc pipe right where the exhaust and intake connect into the concentric vent tubing like clicking. If I reset the system and turn the temperature back up on the Nest it turns on ran for 15min and shut off again. Air filters are pretty new and same as always used, flame sensor is clean. Can’t figure it out
Great Jay, i am having same problem with furnace, i cleaned the senssor, it is working for awhile and stop. I checked the themostart and found it doesn't work....as the temporary i set. Thanks
ОтветитьSO glad I found you... I understand how my thermostat works BUT I think it is haunted: a few times (no rhyme or reason as far as I can understand) I see it goes up to 29 degrees give or take a few! omg I could open a sauna. any ideas?
ОтветитьThanks for suggesting replacing the batteries also. I'm afraid to remove the cover to the thermostat
so I will have my service man check them also. I know its simple but I would probably pull the whole thermostat off and plate by mistake.
Thank you so much I couldn't understand why my condo was 66 degrees inside when the thermostat is set at 68 and it was intermittently turning on. I took the air filter out and put it back in now it's working. My A/C guy told me not to use the pleated filters because they restrict air flow he suggested the reusable air filters. I tried the reusable filters and once I remove and clean it I can't put it back in the a/c unit they are too flexible and will not stay in place.
ОтветитьWow you are great
ОтветитьMy thermostat will not let me raise the temperature above 62. It works raising the temp to up to62, but won't go any higher. Is this most likely just a bad thermostat a replacement will fix or something else?
ОтветитьMy furnace starts but then blinks to unable to stat burner code
Ответитьif the thermostat was wired incorrectly, and the R and W were switched, can that cause the thermostat to become defective?
ОтветитьThis video was amazing!! Thank you. It really helped me.
ОтветитьGreat video. Have do you done one on measuring ductwork?
ОтветитьWhat's the likely cause if the thermostat won't turn on neither the pump or the furnace?
ОтветитьAgain, another great video. Thank you!
ОтветитьShould the fan be on or auto for heat
ОтветитьI enjoy your tips and help and appreciate that. Less, " I do have a video's might be a good idea" Thanks
ОтветитьI went LOL on your strong days of the week joke. It took a few milliseconds to register, but I did LOL.
ОтветитьHi Jay, I love the enthusiasm you put into your videos. As you say I can ask you a question. Here it is: I have an air Handler unit made by First Co. of Dallas, Model no. 48 HBQB. It's a tall box with a hot water heat exchanger, radiator, at top of the tall (3 ft) box, and a freon evaporator at the bottom. My 75 gal water heater in the garage feeds the radiator in the winter, and my AC compressor feeds the evaporator in the summer. The problem I have is in the winter when the heat exchanger is on and the LUX thermostat is set at 72. Often the heat does not shut off the hot water flow or the blower, and the house temp could rise to 80+, 85 or more. I changed thermostat from Honeywell to LUX, and also changed thermostat batteries but it didn't help either. Often I would remove the front of the thermostat to force it to shut down and it still wouldn't. So what I also learned to do is switch the thermostat dial from heat to AC and then to off, and that seems to shut it down, but not always. Also I replaced the relay inside the air handler twice, and that didn't help, so frustrating.
Have you experienced this before, or do you have any suggestions for me to do?.
Thank you
Thanks again for helping everyone. I was wondering if you have any videos on PTAC units. I am inteerested to understand everything about Amana PTAC parts and operation. Thanks
ОтветитьThanks brother 😘🇮🇳
ОтветитьMy HVAC has 2 zone and one of the zone has 2 damper which are connected in series. Almost all the time only first damper is open and other damper which connected to main damper is closed which is resulting no air flow in some rooms. any way to fix this?
ОтветитьAlways well done. Thanks.
ОтветитьThanks Jay for sharing this information. I love following your videos. So much things to learn from you.
Have a great weekend 🎉
What if the thermostat won't turn the furnace OFF above 66°F?
It turns on just fine, but we have to turn power off to the furnace several times a day.
Heat is on but my condenser is running as well
ОтветитьI have electric heat with a air handler. I just notice my 3 ton unit comes on when heat is on . Never have seen this before now and lived here 2 yes. Could this be right or misfires? Tia for any help
