24hrs in one ( peak ) season does not give a full accurate impression of any place. this was the CON view of 4 ( four ) individuals; where is the PRO perspective for accurate reporting? HUMANS come in lots of varieties; nothing SANE is “US v THEM” — BLACK v WHITE, Nudists v Textililists — since most folks get naked briefly at home & very few Naturist/Nudists STAY NUDE when it’s COLD or breezy or stormy.

I experienced this place back in 1982 when I was 9 years old. I wasn’t told anything about staying on a naturist site so you can imagine to my horror as we entered the place a guy riding a bike with zero clothes on!
I would stay in the tent alone whilst my parents went out in the evening! I know they were swingers but never knew it was took place till recently
I ABSOLUTELY hated it there! I was shouted at in the showers by a German guy for wearing bikini bottoms! My father came to my rescue obviously but after that I hated the rest of the holiday

I don’t think any naturist couple that have children should even think about putting a child through what I went through!

I wasn’t asked if I wanted a holiday at this place, I had previous to going there gone to a naturist beach locally where I grew up! Of course it didn’t feel at all comfortable

Im now in my late 40s so would I go to a naturist beach? Probably because Im very comfortable in my own skin & obviously love the person I’m with that I totally trust!
I have mixed views about children mixing in these places? I did grow up with parents walking around the house naked so I should be very used to see peoples bits but Cap d Agde truly did it for me! Even today I still blame that place for causing my adolescent to be far too comfortable around boys & sex

Love the Cap D’Agde, been there many times when teen and young adult. Good souvenirs playing tennis or campfire on the beach.

The town is responsible for mains utilities and the roads. The copropriétés and coproprietors are responsible for the property. I was Vice-President of the Union in 1993, which has ZERO say in the town budget. I am no longer a libertine, but I am still a naturist. ☮️❤🇪🇺🇫🇷👍🌞.

It's not what YOU call naturist. It's unlikely that North American influence will change the name of our village (as we experience it in the autumn, winter, spring, summer 🌞🏖️).

I repeat. The naturist village in Cap d'Agde is PUBLIC. Euronat, Montalivet, La Jenny and ALL the other naturist destinations are PRIVATE with rules dictated by the owner. Nudity at beaches is not legally enforcible ANYWHERE in France 🇫🇷.

The wind is the Tramontane - between the mountains (Pyrenees and Massif Central).

I'm amazed that the lady, who did not IMMEDIATELY turn around and retreat when she realised her beach walk was "not her cup of tea", has not realised that the problem is HERS. She HAD to continue so that she could be thoroughly "violated" (her husband's word) by what she saw.

SWINGING HAS NEVER BEEN ILLEGAL. You have to show ID to enter what is a PUBLIC place - the entrance gate is a filter. Money is charged to pay for the personnel at the gate. The roads are owned by the town and the accommodation is on PRIVATE land. There were never any "nude police" because all beaches in France are public, and nudity CANNOT be enforced legally. The Village Naturist Cap d'Agde is for EVERYBODY. People have the option for EVERYTHING or NOTHING.
Your interviewees are too cheap to rent inside the naturist village but find the place cheap. 🤔
A less-than-24-hour visit with ZERO research in advance. They are correct that it is possible to have a holiday without any sex involved.

This was very interesting to me, as I was also thinking that Cap d'Agde was sort of a naturist heaven. It's good to know there are better alternatives out there!
