IMO This is a great decision by the FedEx board.... Although we are FAMILY I believe FedEx freight has had their 💩 together for a long time and has been married to express and ground in the wrong way (no disrespect to ground and express) Now we are technically still married but manage our own finances. Freight has always helped carry some of the load for ground during peak season @ higher profile terminals with the ability to provide drivers and i know because i always look forward to getting that overtime in around the holidays by pulling loads for ground. Now FedEx Freight helping cost cutting for ground by eliminating a large % of contracted drivers at high volume facilities and also moves expess shipments through our network. So speaking only from my standpoint if ground and express grow then freight grows and i welcome it 🫂... and in the meantime and in-between time FedEx Freight can develop sales teams and restructure their customer cost meanwhile maintaining our existing relationships with our regular customers... its a win win 🎉🎉🎉
