Big Pat was someone I became friends with over the last year attending games he was an incredible man who made my days better. The world is a worse place without him in it. I got the news before a lot of people yesterday and I have cried a handful of times over the last 24 hours

This was so sad to me. All of his iconic calls will always be remembered and missed for the rest of Hornets Basketball being a thing. Now live Hornets games will just never be the same and we will never have the right person for this job. Pat will forever be missed😢😢😢😢😢😢.

Damn this one hit hard 😔Big Pat was a complete legend and professional, it’s going to be really hard replacing him, but I honestly thought the dude that did the intros for the IST would be a solid replacement 🐝

The best PA announcer in the NBA. I agree my mom and I have always said, if Big Pat wasn’t there it was a disappointment just because it wasn’t Big Pat. I remember going to Bobcats basketball camp as a kid and he told me I was a good basketball player and he enjoyed watching me and that always stuck with me.

Tired of this 9-10 seed play-in talk... Of course health is the most important factor, but IF HEALTHY, I don't see why we can't do the same thing Orlando did last season and be a top 6 team! We have 3 20-point scorers including a top tier playmaker, a double digit rebounder and rim protector, and a solid bench with more than capable backups. At least 8-9 deep with quality NBA players. We can definitely compete for a top 6 spot in the East.

Shit hurt to the core when I saw the announcement, gonna really miss him. So many memorable calls that just made me happy. I had to go back to him announcing Kemba as an Allstar starter, still hits me in the feels as a moment I’ll never forget

I had season tickets 2 years ago and there was one game where for whatever reason Big Pat missed the 2nd half (I assume he was too sick to work) and without him the atmosphere felt like a high school game. He will be missed greatly.

Nick Smith Jr. 8th/9th man just like Nata said he's spot on. But that means Micic is out as backup PG. Tre Mann needs to be be backup PG and there probably isn't room in rotation for all 3.

No disrespect to Rick but this is a much more bigger loss than him. That man hated covering the hornets and treated fans horrible

Big Pat was my first cousin. He’s one of the nicest and most kindhearted people I’ve ever met. R.I.P. cousin Pat
