I'm watching this on a CRT right now, actually. I've got an Atari 2600, NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, Sega CD and VCR-DVD combo unit (with a Chromecast connected) right now.
Most of my conte t is standard definition, so I went with a 27" Zenith.
ps2 looks decent on my emerson led hd tv from 2013 not perfect but better than a lot of stuff i've tried with newer tvs
ОтветитьI take a Vinyl approach to this. I like playing my consoles "the way they were meant to be played" i.e on the hardware available at the time. Nintendo 64 looks the best to me on a CRT with S Video, Gamecube using the component cables, and a PS3/Xbox on a Plasma TV, if you have one laying around.
ОтветитьToo many face shots bro
ОтветитьI play my OG XBOX on CRT
ОтветитьGeneration 6 consoles look great on my HD crt using component cables.
ОтветитьHi, how to correctly spot an EDTV in a shop or garage sale ? I'd like to get one, but how to identify them ?
Thanks
is this scott the woz
ОтветитьHi RB, great channel! I love it and have binged much of it 👍. I know this is an older video, but what is your thoughts on using projectors? Do they benefit old consoles like CRTs? Also you should try playing more Intellivision. Try Utopia, D&D Treasure of Tarmin, and Night Stalker. Up your alley.
ОтветитьI play my PS3 on my CRT. Metal Gear Solid 4 has never looked or performed this well, even with the frame rate drops, as CRT’s have far superior motion handling. I can play for hours and not end up with eye strain or a massive headache.
ОтветитьEverything before the Xbox orignal CRT, the only exception might be the Wii.
Ответитьwhat crt are you using for house of the dead 2 in this video?
ОтветитьWhat I heard here is you married your wife for her EDTV
ОтветитьThe light gun games needing the CRT is a big thing
ОтветитьI've got a 28" Panasonic CRT TV.
Connected to it is...
Sega master system.
Sega mega drive.
Super Nintendo.
Atari 2600.
PlayStation
PlayStation 2.
oh man. I have an nes, snes, n64, wii, ps2, and genesis all hooked up through s video on a crt. I am a sucker for crt's I still have a widescreen hd crt tv in my garage😅
ОтветитьBuy a good HDMI adapter for the console and use a regular TV. I added an HDMI adapter for my Dreamcast and started up Skies of Arcadia and the game looked like a new game with better graphics.
ОтветитьYou sure? got my gf by giving them a crt
ОтветитьI thought CRTs don’t have a native resolution so anything looks good on it.
ОтветитьPs1&Ps2 connect to a crt TV
ОтветитьI have an Xbox One plugged in my CRT TV lol
ОтветитьSold my crt and old consoles. Maintenance, cleaning and space they took is difficulty to manage if you are married and have kids.
Retroarch have great crt/scanline shaders, that look great.
i got the same exact tv yesterday lol perfect for my ps1/n64, anything newer than that is fucking garbage and will be worthless, the first xbox generation, ps2 and gamecube were so bad, get a pc instead
ОтветитьI got my nes, snes, n64, gamecube, sega holy trinity, saturn, and dreamcast
ОтветитьI have an ED plasma and SD crt
For me dreamcast I for some reason prefer that at 480i on the sd crt. Same for ps2 I prefer on sd crt.
OG Xbox and wii however I’d prefer on the ed plasma. I think for me it’s more about the most common aspect ratio
You can all the worthy. Preferably the that use a cartridge, including arcade systems.
ОтветитьUntil last year I only had a CRT at home so I had connected an SNES, a Wii and a WiiU
Now none 😂
a 2nd option if you want 480p and a crt is to get an old crt monitor and use a component to vga adapter to get both crt and 480p
ОтветитьDreamcast VGA box on CRT monitor 🤤
ОтветитьI've got everything up through the PS2 Xbox era
ОтветитьOriginal modded Xbox hooked up to a CRT that was being thrown away and has no issues......
Ответитьthe ONLY CRTs I have aren't even mine, their my grandpas (He has 5) we had an Atari 2600 at-games thing and a intellivision classic hooked up to it! I love that CRT because of just how clear it looked even today!
ОтветитьThis man is a living meme
ОтветитьWhich one? How about all of them!!!
ОтветитьLoad of crap best in the past
ОтветитьAnything prior to the 7th Generation minus the Wii, on a CRT without a doubt. If you don't have a HDTV for whatever reason but also a PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and/or Wii U a CRT will work just fine just do it on a widescreen CRT. I've just got a 4:3 CRT with a curved screen which I intend to use for 4:3 consoles, I do want to get a 16:9 CRT as well to use for PlayStation 2, Xbox and Wii (and widescreen DVDs)
Ответить27 inch JVC D-Series: SNES through S-Video and GameCube with the backwards compatible Wii through component.
Also have two identical 9 inch Sansui crts, one with the N64 through composite and one with the top loader straight through RF bay bay.
C’est moi, ou il a un air de Marcus de Game One sur cette miniature 😅
ОтветитьI played everything up to ps3 on a CRT. Never got an HDTV until a couple years after the ps3 came out and that's when I discovered input lag 🤣
ОтветитьScott the woz 1:1 voice. Good content but be yourself i recognized the scott the woz inspiration within like 5 seconds
ОтветитьI love the intro man! holy heck I laughed so hard. I decided to show it to my wife even. Because I also want CRT in my home hahaha
Ответитьthis guy remind me of scott the woz and vintage gamer in one , im gonna fucking subscribe
ОтветитьI have a 14" CRT with a Snes and Megadrive connected and then an old 32" Sony Bravia HD tv that has multiple inputs for the rest. I have my Gamecube and Dreamcast connected with RGB scart, a PS2 with component, and then an N64 and Saturn with HDMI upscalers (oh and a Wii U and PS3 via HDMI). It does have a VGA input but for some reason it didn't recognise my Dreamcast. I'm pretty happy with the results. I do love the look of a CRT but they're just too big and heavy, especially for a decent size and I don't really enjoy playing on the small tv for longer periods.
ОтветитьFunny like retro guy isnt aware of the biggest strenght of CRT technology - its called motion clarity, thats why old games on CRT looks so good. Moving image looks 100% same as still image dosnt matter of its speed. Modern LCD technology needs 10000Hz to be in the same ballpark as 60Hz CRT.
ОтветитьPS3 on CRT is so underrated.
ОтветитьHow do you put those DC games in 240 mode?
ОтветитьThings brings up the question, should I just get an enhanced resolution TV, and I guess it’s still a CRT.. so my NES would look just as good on that it does my CRT?
ОтветитьI got my CRT hooked up to my Apple II+ console..err i mean computer.
Ответить
