Wendel was a great fighter but Probert is too much for him though.
Ответить@RayDizzle0612 scared you idiot? you ever play hockey, I doubt, he jumped on him because he could, it was a fight, Probert said before he died that Tie And Clarke were the best fighters in the leauge
ОтветитьProbie hit Clark, Clark retaliated and the gloves were off. Narrow win for Probert for better punches and a better finish. Probert is a better fighter. RIP Probert.
Ответитьlook at that clark started hitting him before probert even had his gloves off once again i like clark but his fights would have been more exciting to watch if he let the other guy get his gloves off before taking the unfair advantage. one of the only ones of his time who actually could get the gloves off in time was probert any enforcer from the 60's-70's would have killed clark regardless of his great fighting ability but probert still won round 2 of these fights
Ответить@RayDizzle0612 im on your side in the argument because you are right up until you said probert was the toughest fighter in the nhl history hands down. probert was an amazing fighter but thats not true stan jonathon is the toughest fighter ever hands down and he was only feet tall, took on the biggest and toughest guys in the nhl and beat them all. other than that you are right on everything else
Ответить@khav11 ok and?
Ответить@khav11 im sorry but no jonathon, clark, and probert are only 3 of the fighters who would make anybodys top 3 list behn wilson wouldnt be in the top 3
Ответить@khav11 then you dont know what you are talking about because i see people saying all the time how jonathon was one of the best fighters in the league you dont know what your talking about clearly
Ответить@khav11 actually boston has some of the smartest hockey fans in the league but what ever.
Ответить@khav11 then explain to me why those schools are always full of bostonians. You're not making sense and that has nothing to do with anything because you don't have to go to college to know about hockey dipshit. But even though you're to stupid to read the comment correctly the statement you made was still wrong so again what ever.
ОтветитьWhen ur head hunted dropp em(!) + there was once a better time.
ОтветитьI don't really give Clark a lot of credit for his fights with Probert. It was bold just to drop the gloves but all Clark did was hold on for dear life because he knew that if Probert got even one hand free, it was over.
ОтветитьThe one in '87 or '92? Probert dominated him in '87 and Clarke went straight for the jersey, hardly throwing any punches, in '92.
ОтветитьI did give him his due credit and pulling the jersey isn't a bad strategy, but if you wanna see a little guy go toe-to-toe with a big guy like Probert and win at least once (they fought nine times), check out Tie Domi. He didn't go for the jersey. He was throwing punches.
ОтветитьAnd that's why guys like Clarke shouldn't be dropping the gloves against Probert, the best hockey fighter ever imo. Clarke could scrap and throw, but Probert had too much size and reach and no one could take more punishment and keep fighting than Probert. You're right about Domi being bigger than he looked, but Probert still got the better of almost every exchange between them.
ОтветитьClark won this one.
ОтветитьWhatever happened to Probert?
ОтветитьI remember these fights and not to make excuses for him but Clark was coming back from back problems and Probert knew it. Probert was the king no doubt about it but I think Clark would have put up a better fight if his back wasn't ailing.
ОтветитьAmazing thing about this era of fighting was players never tried to rip each other's helmets off and Clarke seemed like he never got any facial bruises like black eyes or anything from all the bouts he was in.
I have to say Clark and Probert were two of my favourite fighters in that era. Granted, Leaf and Wing games was mostly what I was able to watch over the air. lol.
They weren't fighting. they were just wishing each other a merry christmas ;)
ОтветитьDecision Clarke!!
ОтветитьHa Ha! Wendel beat cocaine head Probert. Probert was a sack of crap. Wendel was five times the player. Probert ran away from Wendel like the gutless coward he was. Bob Probert goon of the year!!
ОтветитьProbert was a bear...literally. He got better as the fight went on so get in early!
ОтветитьWendel had his bucket welded on
ОтветитьMarty Uribe,
First, I don't care what your view is on the topic! I am a Wendel Clark fan and I don't like Bob Probert and never will. He was a thug with no skill who made a living taking cheap shots at everyone. Wendel was a tougher player and more skilled reference the 1993-1994 season when Wendel scored 43 goals. Probert never came close to that ever! No doubt Probert won many fights however I have no respect for him in the slightest. It is common knowledge about his cocaine addiction during his tenure in the NHL. Most players in the league hated his guts. You forgot to mention getting his ass kicked by Troy Crowder which seems to be missing from Probert highlights as well.
I love both Clark and Probert. Not only was Wendell Clark a captain and skilled player but he would also throw down with the best of them. That can really pump a team up when they see there captain throwing with someone like Probert . You don't see to many players like Wendell anymore. Obviously Proberts main use was as a enforcer but he wasn't just a goon. He was a hustler who could put a few in the net. From what I've heard was he was a great teammate and everyone loved him. For whoever knocked him for his substance abuse is a moron. Many nhl players have also battled alcoholism and drug use. Probert and Clark are both awesome. They don't make players like that anymore. Both played with heart , stuck up for teammates , and gave 100% every game!!!!
ОтветитьWendal Clark didn't have the height but he was one tough hockey player that could play and fight too.
Ответитьwelder clark was drafted as defenseman that was his position all threw hockey ,it was stupid leafs coaching put him at wing and let him fight everyones battles,,man he had a wicked wrist shot,,i loved watching his work ethic.
ОтветитьIn the words of Don Cherry Probert was the best fighter in NHL history,Clark was a terrific player and very tough.
Ответить. Bullshit, grappling.
ОтветитьSee how quickly he dropped the gloves after the hit anf just went to it without a second thought.
ОтветитьClark is lucky the linesman saved his life. His sucker punch and hope for the best technique doesn't work on Bobby. It just makes Probert mad.
Ответитьthe uppercut by Probert at the end was CLEAN and on Point. Bravo
Ответитьlooks like Probert tried to wipe Clarks ass with that uppercut.
ОтветитьThey just don't make them like these two anymore. I really miss it.
ОтветитьRefs saved Clark in this fight! Probert had him figured out and needed a few more seconds.
ОтветитьDon't mess with the probe,..
ОтветитьWearing the C and taking on Probert.
ОтветитьMy favorite player on the leafs then was give away gill Mr. Todd Gill
ОтветитьLmao. Wendy
ОтветитьYes.....
ОтветитьWendel was happy to see those linesmen. Lol. He did fine though.
ОтветитьWhew....fighting Probert would be like fighting a bear...and Wendel did it. Bobby's head snapped back a few times and it wasn't because he was looking up at the clock.
ОтветитьLv these guys but impossible to punch out a coked up guy
ОтветитьThey don't make em like Wendel anymore..or Probert.
ОтветитьBoth men were great, BUT Probert had 40 lbs and 4 or 5 inches on Clark...so it's a bit like comparing apples and oranges.
ОтветитьProbert not sure what to do here couldn't get the dress off!
ОтветитьNo volume ?!
ОтветитьWendel was a beauty and fearless
ОтветитьNothing but a wrestling match.
