As someone who has been in the situation of the guy this just feels like getting shot in the heart I know this situation all to well (no pun intended) your ex girlfriend was super toxic and you just couldn't see it then she has her whole manipulative speech about how even though she was auful to you her family life is so hard and not to mention whenever I'm in this situation I feel like I have to be her personal therapist but when I need help from her she turns into a contest of who has a harder life and I totally understand how the guy feels how his girlfriend cheated on him then at the dance she acts like they are still together my ex did the same and I hate the girlfriend even more with this song because I know this situation where someone just manipulates you then they get so much praise and you just have to sit there feeling like you did something wrong when deep down you know this manipulate b*** was the one who did the wrong thing and they act like your friends who actually care about you and your new partner are all just mean and this honestly made me cry because of how bad it feels when someone acts like they care about you despite the things they did and didn't learn that manipulation only gets you so far
