We don't know anything about our past. Archeology and Evolution have failed us through science now. They have cheated us on fossils. Now what? Do we look to the Bible????? The only fact and proved facts of our history????

I would suggest people look into the Book of Mormon. Joseph Smith, and uneducated farm boy could not have predicted that these places and advanced civilizations existed. He translated a sacred text, a record, that outlines these ancient people and their beliefs along with they way they organized their settlements in the Ancient Americas. It testifies of Christ and has historical significance on this topic. I know it to be true.

In the book by Theun Mares titled "The return of the warrior" it talks about the 5 or 7 sub human races, our ancestors from long ago. It says Naguals of people left the city of golden gates because they fled a corrupted power. Although it doesn't look like much now, it's amazing how they were capable of construction their own native societies and it brakes the stereotypes that natives didn't had civilization. To me they look a bit rushed constructed. And maybe it has finally cought up here too. The corruption. Native people are awesome, I am one myself.

Lidar is also being used in the same way to find the Roman roads in Spain. Funnily enough, most of the previously roads tagged as roman turned out to be much more modern and very different the the actual roads (cobbled roads vs compacted dirt roads). Most of them have been hidden by dirt, vegetation or disrupted by humans. Historians have been feeding us bullshit for centuries.

Only when all the other archaeologists stories are adjusted can we finally see what might have really happened in the past. They have tried to create a whole picture with a small amount of historical evidence. Like taking one small part of a puzzle claiming it to be the whole picture. And with no one actually alive from the time, we are generally taking guesses with the limitations of knowledge and technologies we have had in the past. Some people who gained great recognition for their theories are having trouble letting go of their fame and achievements to make way for the truth, because it make their stories wrong, but perhaps they need to see their part was important to the big picture also, as will this discovery be.

They need to be careful and carbon date the evidence layer by layer to get the relative time in order, otherwise it will be a mess and it would ruin the entire discovery if certain structures that can't be dated, lose the organic material associated that can be used to reconstruct the timeline for the development of those cities, citadels, towns or villages. Point being, the Amazon was never just a bunch of primitive tribes. They may discover written language and many inventions or innovations.

The Americas are definitely the most important place to use lidar. The lies about the indigenous American peoples spread by colonizers have distorted our perception of reality.

Graham Hancock predicted something like this would happen in Fingerprints of the Gods. He made his point that archeology was missing out on some big gaps in civilization and the history of man actually extends much further than believed. Hancock's assertions were dismissed by mainstream archeology. He was laughed at. Dismissed. Even today, his Wikipedia page, which he cannot edit, is filled with vile insults against the guy. As it turns out, Graham Hancock was far more right than wrong.

Amazing, they bothered to look and found something. Nobody should be giving mainstream archeologists a pat on the back. They have been too busy pushing their dogma. Do not take any claims about the dates of these structures seriously. They are biased guesses and nothing more. I wonder if they will actually do proper radiocarbon dating (e.g. Gunung Padang) or just look for some pottery shards and claim a timeline.

Not to open up a rabbit hole, but...
I am not at all surprised at the discoveries of ancient civilization in the Americas. The Book of Mormon is a record of some of these cultures ( just as the Bible is of the mideast). It states that people covered "the whole face of the land", in a long ago time period. It describes many wars, and in one part, even how they made some of their fortifications.
