the results i just got from Startpage were disturbing. I needed images of 'white mother with white baby', so searched it but got inter-racial mothers and babies - white mother dark-skinned baby or black mother with light-skinned or white baby. Now i need to try other search engines.

Someone do an article to test these search engines, so that we can put in 10 to 20 tests in the URL to see what freakish results we get

I'm in December 2021 and I've been using duck duck go for over a year... when all of a sudden, when trying to do a search in the address bar using duck duck go, and it suggested 'startpage' as a search engine... unknown to me until that moment... Well, I stopped right away to read about the policies, etc, because him is a more look like with a google's page, but as if he was using a fantasy to cover up reality. Then I realised in their your page 'we're for privacy' posts that it sounded more like a scam, realized I wasn't quite as sure as the 'privacy' they claimed, and it got worse when I got to their email product.

This video of yours, from more than a year ago, resolved once and for all the problem of continuing or not and testing it once and for all as a search engine.
I will stay with the duck duck go.

Wow... the most pointless 5 minutes blabla in a long time. You have not said a single relevant word. On their page, they claim:
- No collecting or selling search history
- No 3rd party ad trackers or cookies
- Search and browse anonymously

Is any of this not true? Not a single word from you. But if it is indeed true, then Startpage is an excellent alternative, isn't it? Instead you talk about ownership, but without suggesting how that has affected the service since. DDG results are fine for simple searches but with more demanding queries, they cannot touch Google. And Startpage gives you sanitised Google results.

I was wondering why startpage was pushing so much fake news, democrat and communist's propaganda lately. and NO duckduck go is NOT a good search engine, They do the same crap even though they claim to not filter searches. Do your research!! duck duck go donated money to the george soros Open Society Foundations. Their goal is to eliminate all Christian societies and to turn the US into a communist country.

The problem with DDG, is that the search engine never gives me the frakkin' results I want. Always so poor results... That's why I sitck with Startpage.
