Awesome tutorial.. everytime i watch a fusion tutorial im reminded how crazy difficult it is and the fact that I will probably never really learn how to use it.. 😅

When I started learning node editing In resolve I can deny after getting used to layers (hitfilm/afterfx) I was intimidated, after learning me some basic stuff and thanks to your advanced tutorials am feeling a lot more confident of the true power of nodes, in layer editing you have to bake in a lot of comps to accomplish what nodes can do without but at the same time you can pre-render/pre-comp in resolve/fusion and thats a very powerfull feature that i think everyone needs to take advantage off !

You surely know your way around of davinci resolve and fusion. Apart from your awesome tutorial, in terms of VFX, idk why i never like the final result from the software.

Does anyone know what to do if the effect doesn't show? Ive done everything in the tutorial, I'm using the free version of the effect. But the effect isn't showing on the video.

i dont know if you are still checking your comments on this video but ill try and get an answer anyway. I have now finally got the free download for the energy ball (it took 2 days to arrive) but when you bought yours in it didnt have the black background in it, mine has. Im trying to use this effect to create a ghost (like the one in Lockwood and Co, a series on Netflix. Pleas take a look). But because my ghost doesnt appear until a little way into my scene i cant get the plasma ball and the ghost to match up and appear at the right time. Im using iClone 7 for my videos has its part of a pet project im trying to create for my grandkids pleasure. my initial videos are seperated with the ghost on a blue screen and the video with my character on a seperate track. Causing major problems has Fusion is blowing my mind and because I have extra bits to my fusion file im finding it very very difficult to follow your video. I hope you can help and understand my dilemma. Many thanks

Hey Billy, whenever I try to drag an effect I get off of one of your pages or Production Crate or any of the others, the transform node and glow node won’t join with it. I get a merge when I place it onto the node tree but when I want to add the different effects, they won’t link up. What am I doing wrong?

I'm curious - how resource intensive is rendering something like this? I'm thinking of getting started with Da Vinci resolve and have a RTX 2070/Ryzen2700x/16GB DDR4 and wondering if that's enough for things like this - thanks in advance to anyone who replies 🙂

just a little tip you should show the finished product at the end of video too. (we were all hoping for that)

if your videos are just going to be commercials for 3rd party plug-ins you should say that 3rd party content is required up front rather than wasting peoples time.

Love your vids! I have a small problem with my scene however. When i bring in my own effect as a PNG sequence it doesnt appear. Any idea why?

After downloading the energy effect, it has black background... How do I eliminate this??? 😭
Edited: I found how to XD. I just started editig so I'm not used to DaVincii, I found the key croma.
