Thanks for the video. Curious if you (or any of your subs reading my comment) prefer this sensor over an Aqara P1?
The P1 offers a wider angle of detection but I like the fact Switchbot uses AAA batteries and the device is a little more discreet than the Aqara sensor.

Hello , ive got a question for the lights though? if the switchbot motion sensor is triggered by a motion? and if it turn off if detects no motion? what if the person doesn't make any movement at all? does that mean it will turn off the lights because of that? do that person needs to be in constant movement to be able the lights to stay on? TIA and more power on your channel.

Why isn't the hub plus compatible? Is the hub plus ("rainbow cloud") not more powerful than the hub mini?

Great workaround. I find that I'm using virtual switches a lot when I need to communicate with SmartThings to take advantage of more complex automations.

nice tutorial Brian. i dont have the smartthings hub but i have the switchbot hub mini..if i want to trigger a routine via the motion sensor i can do it directly with Miss A right? haven't tried it yet i still have to order the motion sensor, door sensor and some switchbots.

The more things I add, the less smarthings is usefull because of this way too heavy trick setup ! The only thing missing from miss A is to know if we are home or not (geofencing) and then we really wont need smarthings for nothing. So sad after all these years that they did not address this issue.

Hello. You really helped me yo get started in automating my house. Now I am trying to add the sensors (doors and movement) and take advantage of the instance to add the switchbot curtain module, but it Will ve great if you could help me to know if it is possible to integrate them to my smartthings hub without having to purchase the switchbot hub (I know it's cheap, but I already have the philips hub, the smartthings, and the google hub).
