Why is EVERYONE buying this monitor??? - Sceptre E248W-19203RT

I recommend the koorui 24E3 its 165hz 24 inch 1080p ive been using for a week and its amazing got it for only £103

As far as the value proposition goes, I'd rather check Facebook marketplace for a used monitor. I went looking to replace my parents' office PC monitor from one from a Gateway 2004 model, and got a couple year old basic Dell monitor for $25, but I found a good number of more gaming-oriented monitors under $100 from people upgrading. There was a Dell 1080p monitor at least 75 Hz (could have been higher, but I forget) that was like $60.
I'm in a suburb of a decent sized Midwest city (MLB, NHL, and MLS teams) but our secondary market isn't as good as Linus makes Vancouver look, but I was still able to find some good deals.

is it just me or has this guy become irritating!

I got this a while ago for my ps4 and it looks great and works great now I am going to upgrade and use it as a second monitor for my pc that I’m saving up for but if you are going to use it for ps4 or a not high frame rate device get it especially if it’s on sale like I got this for 75 dollars

thing is there are 1080p monitors that are better than this for like 15-20 dollars more.

i use a old samsung tv with 1360x768

I managed to find a 27 inch curved screen sceptre, 75 hz refresh and built in speakers for 70 dollars. Now, the built in speakers are awful, but the monitor itself is pretty good. Even has 2 hdmi ports wo i can keep my pi 400 hooked up to it as well, and vga if time travelling becomes a thing.

Just bought this monitor on Amazon today after my old Dell crapped out on me last night. I don't do any gaming, just watch movies and usual computer stuff, and it works just fine for me, completely 100% satisfied with the purchase.

Idk i wouldn't advise it, I bought a Sceptre 4k Tv, & guess what it came with TWO RIGHT FEET. Updating never has worked, Half the apps never work, The Tv constantly messes up. & currently out of no where the 4K stopped working with Xbox Series X, I've had to reset it multiple times because the tv literally freezes constantly. So yeah its cheap but they are cheap for a reason, Now i do own a Google Sceptre but in my opinion Its the Company Not the Product but the way the Company Makes the Product. The graphics are good the problem is when they work & when they don't, I'll never buy Sceptre again thats for sure, & i've Attempted to contact them before when i first got it about the two Right Feet, & Nothing. YOur better just to pay a few hundred more & get something that is made right rather than something that doesn't seem to be supported at all.

i got my 144hz monitor which has va new for 114 pounds on 5/10% offer (i forgot) in 2020 but motion blur isnt the best but not bad

Hi Linus, got a question.. I recently switched to a Mac OS from pc. I have always have my set up hooked up to an external monitor. My docking station is the valve steamdeck dock station (which I can conveniently switch to and from with just one usb-c also charges both my steam deck and pc), since I switched, I have been getting these occasional display blackouts and live streams like sports does not display on my monitor. Could you tell which one has issue with compatibility? Thanks in advance

idk tbh i used to think 1080p 75hz was okay that was my first monitor but this monitor is honestly really bad imo. Maybe okay for the price but my girlfriend had me help her build a pc and this is the monitor she bought and honestly she dislikes it and it makes me motion sick, it’s really grey and blurry, it’s probably just because i use 1440p but i think this is a bottom of the barrel display and shouldn’t be recommended as entry level, when even low end gpu’s in the modern nvidia and radeon line up can do 1440p, 1080p makes no sense

Does anyone who owns this monitor have recommendations on best calibration settings? I like mine, but I feel like the colors are a tad washed out.

All I can say is that with a budget of 100$ it becomes really compelling to buy used. I got
a nice benq 144hz monitor for just 120$, admittedly the colors are garbage (real bad) but honestly for that price and 144 hz i cannot complain.

It is a shame the brand is not avilable in the Uk so spolier alert guys if you are living in the UK you will not find spectre monitors here they go under AOC here and the model numbers are completely different but the price is about the same also variations here come without the speakers i remember looking everywhere for a the 1600x900 native res spectre monitor that i saw on so many tech channels in 2019 as i wanted a cheap dual monitor setup think at the time they were 60 pounds about 75 usd but thats how i found out nope not a brand here in the UK weirdly you can get them via dropship and ali express but you know look for the aoc version sadly a bit more expensive but hey its the uk we are used to being ripped off

I have the C248W-1920RN, pretty much the same specs, but its curved. I've used it for about three years now with my Xbox. I've just built a pc and so far its working good. I'll see how it plays games once I get the internet figured out.
