Mam one confusing, if I have to tell, that he stopped singing, it means it stopped singing forever or, at particular time, can we use in both case

I forgot doing my Homework means I had to do it in the past but I didn't do it and I forget to do my homework means that I used to forget to do it every time

The verb forget is like the verb regret and the verb remember, I guess.
