i had a friend, a long time lover. we used to smoke + lie quietly and just listen to music for hours. hes gone now. chose to leave this pain plane early. i miss him terribly. i don't have a music friend like that now. i miss it so much it hurts. but how do you find one in these days of late stage capitalism + screen made distractions? is there anybody like us still out there? ¥->
ОтветитьMen will create an incomprehensible and terrifying album that spans over an hour with 3 musics that represent a spiral down into an abyss of torture and suffering rather than go to therapy.
ОтветитьI haven't listened to this since 2010.... Reminds me of less unhappy times.
ОтветитьHow do you call this album? F sharp? F A sharp? Infinity? Fuck?
ОтветитьThe words to describe what this incredible work does to my sinking heart do not exist. Unfathomable emotions I've somehow never experienced seem to be choking me slowly as to make sure I feel every bit of the building tears I'm holding back. And I do. Never have I ever been so empty and alone, relieved in a strange way. And I let go.
ОтветитьThe greatest album of all time.
Ответитьi feel so alone, so alone so alone and so alone, today i woke up with this sensation of dread, of pure and vast loneliness, if for one second i was the last man on Earth, just for one instant, a glimpse of pure terror and dread, the breath of Death. I cant tell anyone the problem that i am having, i just CANT, i cant tell nobody, i feel like it terrorises me like nothing does, and the worse is that thing is inside me, i look like a though guy, someone cheerful and pretty happy with his life, but now i feel pure dread, i dont know if i could beat the thing inside me, i dont know if i could beat it and make my life, reach my goals, my dreams, i fear to only reach the rot of my own body decompossing. This summer its gonna be my last summer as a student, i am gonna turn 19 and graduate from highschool, and i want to go to to places, travel the country, visit new cities and hit the road for days, like the hippies do, camping, meeting new people, new things. the problem is that i fear that i cant make it happen if i dont beat the monster inside my head, beacause the monster has been terrorising me for years every year is worse, i cant tell nobody, but i really been trying a lot of times to beat it, but now is serius, this time the monster is worse than ever, i think i actually i hit rock bottom, the worst of the worst, thats why i am full of fear, that was the worst feeling that i have ever felt, the peak of anxiety, desesperation, and, of course... loneliness. Please if you are reading this, say whatever, anything that could help me stop the tornado inside of my head beacuse i want to live.
ОтветитьThese comments give me the ick idk why
ОтветитьØne of the greatest, Møst crucial bands in the history of music_
ОтветитьOne of the most beautiful pieces of music.
Ответитьthe car's on fire and there's no driver at the wheel and the sewers are all muddied with a thousand lonely suicides and a dark wind blows
Ответитьputa que es weno este álbum csm, siempre que lo escucho se me pone la piel de gallina
es toda una experiencia
This must be one of the most "you either feel it or you don't" albums ever made. And I am not feeling it.
Ответитьi got goosebumps when the violin hit, the only other times i get them are when i play some old flash games from my childhood and cry.
what the fuck went wrong?
Merci Feldup pour cette découverte !
Ответить"We're trapped in the belly of this horrible machine and the machine is bleeding to death" is the most terrifyingly apt lyric I've ever heard to describe what is happening with Western society.
Ответитьdespair
ОтветитьWhere is dubstep guy
ОтветитьI know you hear that train
We're departing
It's time to go my freinds.
Into
The abyss of black
A pit of lost thoughts
Of empty blank stares
I used to be terrified of flying...Still am. I would listen to this on flights and sleep like a baby!!! I just couldnt believe that I could die while listening to something so beautiful. And you know what??? I'm still here.
ОтветитьWe are all so privileged to experience this...
Ответить“From the ashes a new kingdom will rise, sporting a new face, and the cycle will continue”
ОтветитьThanks to Feldup for bringing me here ! Great Album !

ОтветитьIs this what Ok Computer sounds like to normal people

ОтветитьWhere are you going?
Where are you going?
that blaise finneggan III will make me tear up the whole evening, i also think of the end of the world in my depression but i indeed should not go by what the preacher man says since i am "mein eigenes glückes schmied" (german saying meaning u are the smith of your own dreams)
ОтветитьI always felt like this would fit perfect in Cormac McCarthy's the Road.
ОтветитьThe fact that dead flag blues ends in such a happy note is so unsettling
ОтветитьThe Road
Ответитьthis isn't a born in the wrong generation song, this is a made in the wrong generation song
ОтветитьI got kicked out of the party after putting this :(
ОтветитьNot since Pink Floyd "Wish you were here" album, have I been so utterly mesmerized, intrigued, moved, touched , agonized, and disturbed until this album. The difference is that Godspeed You! Black Emperor, unlike Pink Floyd, is not heavy with lyrics but lavishly imposes instrumental scores, which invokes highly personalized feelings and emotions. As much as I am captivated by Pink Floyd's mastery over lyrics, I am equally captivated by Godspeed You! Black Emporor's mastery over musical instruments.
ОтветитьThe last music I shall hear now
Love all you guys ❤
This is the album I play as I drive by the derelict and abandoned buildings in Detroit.
ОтветитьJ.L.H Outro as a jam dance section to compensate for crying at String Loop
Ответитьfreaks
Ответить1984, the album.
ОтветитьGet the vinyl folks
Ответитьyeah that's right, my comment is the latest one
ОтветитьYeah
ОтветитьDiese Platte habe ich leider erst jetzt, mit 60 Jahren, entdeckt. Sie hört sich wie eine Eisrinne mit warmen Granitblöcken an.
ОтветитьIs this what all their music is like? Vaguely liminal soundtrack-inspired stuff like a chase scene in a Guy Ritchie movie or the 28 Days Later OST, with some ambient experimental jazz thrown in?
Because if so then I've been writing this band off for too long, because it's basically just the same kind of stuff I like from Ulver.
