Wind power is NOT 'sustainable'.
Environment:
1. They decimate raptor bird populations on-shore and whale populations off-shore.
2. The CO2 emissions required to mine, forge and manufacture these giant steel structures is never offset during their operating life of no more than 10-12 years (contrast that with fossil fuel energy plants which operate for minimum 30 yrs).
3. The land area required to generate any reasonable amount of power is excessively large in comparison to the land area for an equivalent sized fossil fuel powered plant - in the order of 1:100.
4. The excessive land area requires that healthy tree populations must be destroyed to make way for these behemoths. In 2022, Scotland destroyed 16 Million trees to make space for Wind farms.
5. There is no way to dispose of worn out turbine blades when they are past their service life (8 yrs). They are simply cut into pieces and buried for future generations to deal with.
Commercial:
1. The return on investment (ROI) is very poor and in many cases non-existent, hence why almost all WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) projects are government funded ie; with TAXPAYER funding.
2. This poor use of public funds cripples the pension fund holdings of many, many western governments. That is, YOUR pension will be whittled away for these poor investments.
These only make rich people richer and poor people poorer.

Hot air drawn with a centrifugal compressor, even hotter and densely cooled with CO2 for the turbine circuit, then reduced over shovels on the same axis with gearing, relaxed cold and a lot of water condensed out in Dubai or India, etc. with turbine efficiency almost 100% without losses through cooled condenser, etc. with a suction centrifugal compressor back and with CO2 return everything is cooled (indirectly via H2O, NaK, etc.) so everything can be thermally isolated is also possible with Hg (svhweres atom without molecular rotation) steam cycle.

Why do they not mention the fact that between 60 and 200 gal. of oil is put in that gear box , depending on the size of the unit, not to mention grease that is used for the turret gears, oh yes I know , it’s because those are fossil fuels and they can’t tell you the truth. The primary braking system for a wind turbine is the blades. The blades are also the gas pedal, just like your car. In other words, when you step on the accelerator pedal in your car you can run up the RPM or speed of the engine go faster. The Wind turbine controller can also run up the generator speed by pitching the blade angle down towards 0 degrees. If the controller wants to slow the speed of the rotor and generator, it will begin to pitch the blades back towards 82-85 degrees. It's the equivalent of you letting off your gas pedal in your car to reduce or control your speed.

ОтветитьMany of these sold on market say they come with a charge controller. Is the default charge controller typically good enough to brake the system from overcharging and for when wind is too much, or do people need additional controllers?
