ОтветитьOne of the best laid out and clearest guide videos I've seen. Nice footage too
ОтветитьDefinitely gonna be my next build
ОтветитьIs that you Merlin, what in blazes are you wearing on your head?
ОтветитьVery in depth guide dude, and for such a short video! Definitely earned a sub.
ОтветитьI am currently going through my first time and playing a Int mage, ty for the detailed analysis,
Ответить"The most challenging task when making this build is that my character had to die 5,000,000 times to do it." Lol.
ОтветитьMost helpful video on the topic, thank you!
ОтветитьNerd build 🤓🤓🤓🤓
ОтветитьYou ready to be Maliketh and Melania’s bish? Build this 💀
ОтветитьGreat guide, thanks
ОтветитьHe's accent is ASMR I swear 😂
ОтветитьSo excited to try out this build on my 3rd play through! Thank you!
ОтветитьGreat explanations. Two thumbs up.👍👍
ОтветитьDoes this guide still work a year later (for a new elden ring player) or do I need to watch a more recent one? Thanks a lot.
ОтветитьBest anfld detailed, tqsm
ОтветитьWithout any further delay let's jump right in. PLAY THE ADS HERE.
ОтветитьCannon of haima is like the best spell for pvp
Ответитьi had the same question at sorceror, should i invest the 33 faith levels on that for golden vow? its a really good buff or should i give it to rest of stats? (my int is max ) 180 lvl
ОтветитьMy first run I was a fighter so this time I decided to try mage. Holy shit it’s so much harder. I don’t get it. I’m level 332 and feel like a defenseless baby when enemies rush me. I end up running all over to avoid getting killed and in the process, using up time and flasks. Standing my ground is impossible. ☹️
ОтветитьFromSoft should make a soulslike game where it’s magic focused. Kinda like Sekiro has a dex focus
ОтветитьCan I use the night and flame sword in my right hand and which staff should I use in my left hand? Can u help me?
ОтветитьThis video is amazing straight to the pointt so much info and no BS . Thank you so much.
ОтветитьMy favorite guide I’ve seen for this game
ОтветитьIs it not worth stacking graven school and graven mass talisman?
ОтветитьHehe “Medivh” such a good fuckin name idea for a sorcerer
Ответитьnice guide
ОтветитьIn general, it seems that spells cost too much FP in this game.
ОтветитьI played it through two and a half times already and still going and I just now found out about the illusory wall in Raya Lucaria that hides the comet spell. WTF.
ОтветитьThis is a great mage build. Thanks for a the great tips. It’s been fun in my new game+.
ОтветитьWhat is this accent? just curious
ОтветитьDid this get nerfed?
ОтветитьI've played all the souls games since the beginning and have always struggled to adjust to magic builds and the play style. I will say it feels really good in elden ring for me personally now though, it's a refreshing change of pace. These in depth guides come in clutch.
ОтветитьExcellent! This is all almost exactly what I'm using as a late-game pure mage, plus a few different tips I will definitely try out! Also if you're using gravity sorceries, swap out your off-hand for the Meteorite Staff instead. Meteorite of Astel absolutely wrecks with it.
ОтветитьA lot of people are hating on magic comparing it to dark souls same with melee builds like strength saying “melee builds suck in ER “ “magic is nerfed compared to dark souls “ the fact is ER is a different monster to deal with you are not just gonna spam soul spear and homing soul mass like it’s DS 1 or 3 if you are trying to place magic like that in ER your gonna have a bad time …. You have to approach fights differently a lot of people say “oh dex/int is just the best “ chances are those people are just using moonviel and a few spells that’s it… the people who are saying magic is nerfed are not moonviel users they are pure mage users or carian knight cosplayers and I see why they are mad its cause unless you are a moonviel build magic feels underwhelming but I promise you if you change your approach and don’t just spam bosses likes its dark souls (comet azur being a exception ) you have to jump through the hoops and play it differently you don’t just stand there and cast Elden ring has made magic builds so fun you just can’t play like a dark souls 1 mage or you will die the bosses in this are to fast to just stand around you have almost play like a melee build even as pure intelligence which I love I do think ER has a carry weight scaling issue tho in souls I could light roll with 25 endurance easy without havels or favor in ER in full Azurs set with holding one staff I mid roll until I have 25 endurance which sucks cause endurance is such a hog for magic builds to have to put points into… a mage should have to get 30 endurance to light roll in robes with 1 staff it’s making really wanna try being a carian knight instead of pure mage… even at 20 endurance in the astrologers set holding 1 staff I still mid roll not fast roll … I’d hate to have to switch a caster tailsmen for favor or the havels but it may just have to be cause light roll is so so important for mage builds imo
ОтветитьIs this build still good?
Ответитьhow come your FP gauge isn't going down when you're casting all those spells in the intro?
ОтветитьIn my mage build my go-to spells are usually:
1) Great Glintstone Shard - Decent speed and range and more powerful than Glintstone pebble.
2) Comet - Decent range and quite powerful.
3) Cannon Of Haima - Hits mobs like a truck, 'nuff said!
4) Loretta's Greatbow - Great for sniping enemies when they are out of reach of my other spells.
5) Night Maiden's Mist - Excellent for when I know (or else want to check if) there is an enemy or enemies hiding around corners/behind walls/underneath where I'm standing etc, does extensive damage over time. Just need to be careful where and when you use it as it also does severe damage to the caster. Regardless, this spell NEVER leaves my repertoire.
6) Adula's Moonblade - Decent damage against the right opponents, very good range and builds up Frost.
7) Ambush Shard - Not the strongest of spells but that coupled with the Arrow's Reach Talisman means it can be cast at a much greater distance giving it more of a reason to be in my repertoire; especially useful for hitting enemies with shields from afar.
8) Night Comet - Decent range, fairly cheap to cast, can be buffed via the Staff Of Loss in Offhand, can be charged to do extra damage to unaware enemies and uncharged shots can hit fast and agile enemies as long as you don't chain-spam too much.
9) Roiling Magma - Bit of a finicky spell but can potentially do a lot of damage against enemies. Lobbing the Magma at enemies directly can do a decent amount of damage but where this spell really shines is when you lob it on the ground near to enemies and, after a few moments of delay, it explodes causing even greater damage. Not only that, but so long as it's near enough and enemies aren't already alerted to your presence, the magma actually draws the attention of enemies and they will walk up to it...and then BAM! I love this spell.
10) Rock Sling - I don't use this as often as I used to but it's still a good spell to use, especially if you wield the Meteorite Staff in your offhand (apart from the boost it also seems to travel further when cast in your offhand for some reason). It has very good range, does decent amounts of physical damage and the delay before the rocks are thrown means, when timed right, it can hit fast and agile enemies who tend to attempt to dodge the spell (small enemies) at the moment of delay rather than as the rocks start travelling towards them. Arrow's Talisman also has an affect on the range of this spell.
11) Great Ocular Bubble - Again, like Rock Sling, I don't always use this but this spell can do pretty hefty damage. Like Ambush Shard and RS, it is affected by the Arrow's Reach Talisman. If it doesn't hit an enemy while it's travelling it'll go as far as it can and then hover for a few moments and then go POP! Does have a small AOE so any enemies that are near it will get hurt. The main downside, I feel, is that it requires 18 Arcane to use as opposed to Intelligence but it's not a major deal.
Other spells I like to use when the mood takes me include: Ancient Death Rancor, Rykard's Rancor, Briars Of Sin and Briars Of Punishment (particularly like the latter as it has decent range), Ranni's Dark Moon, Zamor Icestorm, Carian Phalanx and Stars Of Ruin.
@KimoChaser Thanks so much for the awesome video. Automatic like and subscribe for me :) Question though: what do you typically do to get runes quickly when you start a new character? I know there's diff strats out there. Im just curious about what you do.
ОтветитьHaha I like your character name, a fellow WoW head I see
ОтветитьExcellent guide man.
ОтветитьThis is a really nice build, but you haven't mentioned the most INCREDIBLE INT weapon in the game which is Wing of Astel: that weapon does tons of aoe damage on bigger enemies and staggers a lot!
ОтветитьI love watching high level mage builds destroy bosses.
ОтветитьHello, good job ! Do you think the mage is a good option ?
ОтветитьVery clear and informative guide, thanks alot man!!
ОтветитьWhen i finished ranis quest i take the fuxking sword… how can i geh the Moon now..please help😢
