The rail bridge has to go. Hitting it in eight spots to prolong repairs is smart.
However, I would focus on the central span and supporting arches for reasons including:
1) it is the longest and most vulnerable span because the supports are on top of the deck instead of underneath it,
2) taking down the central span will block shipping for months,
3) repairing it would be almost impossible,
4) civilians would still be able to evacuate via the road bridge.
