Someone doesn’t understand how competitive Texas A&M is especially for applicants wanting to study engineering💀

The tiers are backwards. Tier 1 are the highest ranked schools, like MIT, Harvard etc.

This video has the tiers completely backwards! A tier 1 school is Harvard while a tier 5 is community college, not the other way around 🤦🏻‍♀️. But regardless, who cares about tiers? Go where you get in and where you can afford to get a decent degree without getting into crippling debt. I know people who went to tier 1 schools who can’t get a job and people who didn’t even go to or finish college who are millionaires.

Assuming sacromento state is a tier 4 school, there is no way the statement harder to get into but not my much is true when UC Irvine is in their 3. All of the UCs are top 100 university’s and extremely competitive

The amount of snobbery, looking down on people and prejudice in this video is sickening.

UC Irvine is definitely not tier 3. I mean it's got a 25% acceptance rate or so.

Garbage computer narration? Thumbed down and won't watch any more channel vids. It would've cost u like $10 to have a live person narrate this.

I started at a community college and then transferred to a small, regional public university. My first college was probably tier 1, and my second college was probably tier 2.

Community college is comparable to most colleges around the world and isn't anything to sneeze at (you you guys that go there). The other 4 tiers just cost a lot more and you can always transfer to them.

Odd list. Schools like UC Irvine are much better than Texas A&M and Penn state, and are also better than Ohio State and UT Austin. All the middle UCs, UCI, UCD, UCSD, and UCSB are better than every school you listed besides UCLA, UCB and the Ivies

I just want to put it out there that if you’re going for a degree like CS so you can become a SWE, your school doesn’t matter. Your skills matter more than having a degree from a well known school. Everybody is tested on the exact same stuff when applying for a SWE position and it’s a matter of if you know it or not. If you want to actually do research in CS then school matters.
