Received an Amazon package you didn’t order? It could be a scam

I’ve worked out what they’re doing. I guess they are trying to limit the fraud by not giving the step by step process to ppl who haven’t figured out how to do it, which is a great idea seeing that the news and tv shows will show you exactly how to do illegal things! But people would really prefer to go through all of that trouble to lie rather than just sell quality items from the beginning and earn good reviews smh

They send junk, so the mailman thinks you got your stuff. When you order something expensive, they send a dog toy.
You contest the charge, and they say they sent your stuff. Your bank investigates...
But the sender has great reviews.

This happened to me today. I received a storage cabinet piece of furniture, and ironically I was also expecting another piece of storage cabinet furniture today too. So the funny part is that the first large package that I thought was mine, turned out to technically not be mine. So I had to go back downstairs in my building to check if the other one was mine and surely enough it was the one I ordered. And the worst part is the package that wasn't mine, I had already opened up fully and didn't know what to do with it. I even triple-checked the box to make sure I didn't accidentally take someone else's package but it really did have my name and apartment number on it. So I decided to keep it and assembled it too. It's a very awkward situation to be in. And it's also the first time it's ever happened to me.

That’s why I always look at the negative reviews. All products are going to have negative reviews and most of the time people are honest about them

We just started receiving expensive packages from Amazon fulfillment warehouses. Called to tell Amazon so that we could send them back and the CS rep was like "we can't disclose our sellers personal information". Funny thing is they are being shipped to our address in our nicknames. She also asked for our Amazon account number or or email. We don't have one. Checked our credit cards just in case. Nothing. Oh well. Nice paydays for us every 2 weeks.

I got a few of these some where ok like cheap ear buds I was worried I looked for unknown purchases on my bank app and on the PayPal app so after no sign of missing money I didn’t worry about any more but I still check every time I get one. It stoped for a long time but I got another one today and still no money lost. So good for me I wonder what my review was good or bad?

i sent something back thy refunded it me then a month later thy charged me again for the same thing watch out for this in you bank accounts. be careful out there yes i did get onto them and i will be watching my bank balance more now

People are spending time and money to send random gifts to complete strangers ??

But you know some of these people I don’t really think that these people were really doing it to be bad because usually people to scam people usually take your money so is it going to your Amazon account they could’ve taken their money but instead they ordered them packages of stuff. To me it’s not really the work of a true criminal if you ask me

Or I can just get their address and if I wanted to order stuff for them online I would just punch in their address and then it would go to their house you know.

Actually they would go to their apartment because they both live in an apartment, So yeah they mean the world to me so and I miss buying them gifts on Christmas you know

Yeah I wish somebody would give me a dress give me a nice floral like strapless dress a long one maybe a white one with big pink flowers you know. I wish I can get that at my door even when I didn’t order it

So who pays for the item

In my opinion Amazon has become the new eBay. A flea market of sellers. I bought a Christmas gift from Amazon and I was ripped off by the seller. The item didn't arrive and when I went to communicate with them there was some sort of nonsense given to me in an email response by the seller with a photo of a signature that wasn't mine, then I was told the DWS meant delivered without signature. They can't deliver without signature at Royal Mail for higher value items. I haven't bought from Amazon for a long time and thought the goods were coming from them. I didn't really understand it all, but now they allow all sorts of folk to sell through them. I got one communication when contacting the seller saying they would investigate, then one final message saying they consider the matter closed. Nice way to treat people. It's clearly a scammer. He said Royal Mail delivered it, but the delivery company that was on Amazon was USPS. Just a FN liar. Careful where you buy from online. So they are mostly a middle man like EBay now. Absolute junk. I will never use them again. That's me lost money and a present for someone. 🤬

Amazon doesn't care! They shouldn't even allow 3rd party sellers to operate on their platform!!
