ОтветитьThe thing here is in order to calculate the "20 minutes" of not thinking would obviate the need to start the process of actual thinking about whether or not the "20 minutes" of not thinking is in fact drawing to or at least nearing it's conclusion.

ОтветитьI think I will teach a simple meditation it's called " starving mind meditation". Do not feed your mind with any kind of information. Don't talk with anyone,no TV,No internet,No Books, newspaper or magazine. Keep yourself inside a room with attached bathroom and live there for a month. Try it and if it gives good result thank God.
ОтветитьTHIS BLEW MY MIND, because I've always meditated only on being aware of the indwelling PRESENCE from within myself!
But this video helped me to shift my awareness now to include my surroundings instead of blocking them out!
As I did this my surroundings faded into background and I WAS IMMEDIATELY AWARE OF the indwelling RESENCE all around me!!!
As I kept going in and out over and over again to my surprise I discovered that IT WAS THE very SAME Presence !!!
IT WAS JUST AS STILL AND JUST AS PEACEFUL !

ОтветитьI am the same as the room I sit in.
As there are walls in the room, so too there are walls within me. As the walls seem to separate space within the room from the space outside of the room, the walls within myself seem to separate the awareness within me from a deeper awareness which is always present.
From time to time, we open a door and leave the room. Maybe we go to work. Maybe we take a walk. But for so many of us we often return to the safety of our rooms after some time.
So too we sometimes open the doors within ourselves and step into a world of heightened awareness. Most of us do it unconsciously because we only intend to do a job. Soon after we return to our "normal" state. Even though we walk through the open door we fail to see that we are and always have been free from our own captivity.
That which we seek has been and always will be there all along. Step outside once in a while. Not for a task, but just to get some fresh air and enjoy the wind on your face. After all, you're alive.

ОтветитьI meditate regularly. It does nothing to improve my life. The fact is we are too noisy inwardly to change. When you say, I have to be quiet, is that voice any different from the selfish, noisy person you are? It isn't. It is still the noise, the self wanting quiet. Tolle is asking you to project, which is dishonesty. We can't change, folks. We are who we are, and you can't change how nature made you. That's vanity.

ОтветитьThis was a good dharma talk. However, having "Stop Thinking" as th image, then presenting several THOUGHT PROVOKING, complex philosophical concepts is almost cruel.

ОтветитьBy time, we form the habit of paying attention to thing and stuff, we forget the space which is essence of who we are. Thanks Eckhart to bring us back to basic 🙏❤
ОтветитьI was awakened when I was in my early 20’s for a year or so. It was constant bliss despite any outward circumstances. But I chose to step away because I didn’t know what it was and some religious guy told me it might be evil. ( it was pure love too so how could it have been evil?) I chose to step down and have regretted it.
Now ego never lets down it’s guard. It is my deepest wish to be awakened again. All it is is a shift in perception. From the one who thinks to the one that observes.
If anyone can help me get back there, I trust you can Eckhart!

ОтветитьIt’s crazy how my mind is always thinking for long periods of time that when I have a moment of here and now, it scares me because my mind is so use to being in obsessive compulsive thought, that I think something is wrong when my mind shuts off.
