The sims 4 is inded a sinking titanic. And comunity allow it to be a sinking skip.

The sims 3 will always be my favorite game. The sims 4 gets just to boring quick even with mods

I kinda saw this coming from the beginning...I mean, in the Sims 2, the last EP had a promo feature where your sims could play the Sims 3 on their computer...the Sims 4 launched with your sims being able to play "Sims Forever"....stuck with me a lot as a kid 😅

playing this game since the first inception. but sims4 was just 1 day and I didn't enjoy at all. I give it a change to buy some packs but feels so soul less. there is noting todo. it feels like a point and click game for me now but, if I go back to the older titles that I grew up with. I feel engage.

this is EA they don't care anymore only money counts by making broken and expressive garbage. there should be a law by that for quality insurance.

Hi, you have a nice voice. But let's be honest, doesn't it seem to you that people have distorted frames in their heads when they think that since the game is 10 years old, it is now old and the developers cannot and should not continue to improve it, add updates to the game? It's just that half of May we have GTA 5, which is already 11 years old, and judging by the fact that I have not seen any scandals related to it, where its community says, give us a new GTA 6, since your GTA 5 is already outdated. In general, we live in 2024, the era of a broken Internet and technology is already with us on NANA. Ivan Max inserts an implant into the brain of a paralyzed person that allows this person to control a computer with only one thought. We receive Windows and antivirus system updates, as well as download movies or watch them online, we have developed social networks where people were able to simply monetize air and make money on it, and formerly unknown people have become an authority and role model for many. Bloggers have already retrained from bloggers to experts, mentors and stars. They are listened to. They are listened to. They are read online. Millions of people follow their lives. And you still doubt that a 10-year-old game can be turned into a modern candy with new packaging and a bow simply because its base is supposedly outdated. And you know the saddest thing is not only this, but also that many of you who think so have nothing to do with the programming language at all. You have no idea what works in the game and how. What the engine is capable of and what can be done to update or improve it. We live in a world where codes can be rewritten and everything can be optimized. You even get drivers over the air, which accompanies an improvement in the performance of your computer. So with the game, the same thing can be done and I think they will. And who the hell would think why the hell should we jump from one The Sims to another The Sims 5 when in 4 everything is not even fully implemented. A solid foundation is needed for a better future. And the sims 4 has become this foundation in which we can implement everything we dreamed of. and then take it all and transfer it to the new the sims. Otherwise, the developers will only procrastinate and not implement anything new. They ignored so many opportunities or passed them by because they had to start all over again. Who needs this? I don’t and I think you don’t either. The sims 4 doesn’t even have alarm clocks for the sims. We were their personal alarm clocks for 10 years, and you’re talking about finishing the game. We need not to finish it and jump into the new the sims, but to reveal the potential of the sims game to the maximum. Everything we wanted to see in the sims 4. WE ONLY NEED, as they said, to tell and share with the maxis and ea studios and the sims developers what exactly we want from the sims 5 and they will do it in the sims 4

I'm kind of intrigued. They have some data that is telling them this is the best direction. They have AI now and all the data that comes with it and they know they're about to have competition.

I want to know what the data really says. As much as we social players aren't happy, how do the rest of their customers feel? My 17 year old and his friends are all happy with this news.

I get flashbacks to sim city whenever I hear about project rene and the sims. Sim City was THE city builder, but then EA released Sim City 2013 and it was live service, the servers were a mess and everyone hated it, Then Cities Skylines came along and was better in every way, and now sim city is dead. People are tired of the sims as it is, so when Paralives and Inzoi release...

I've played since the first Sims game (yes, I am that old). I did switch from Sims to Sims 2 right away, same when Sims 3 came out. When they announced Sims 4 without open world, I was cautious and I actually didn't switch until the Vampire Game Pack came out (because the vampires looked more interesting). I really, really tried to like the game. I bought a lot of the packs, thinking they'd make it better, but the life simulation I've been playing before has been turned into a digital dollhouse where there's nothing unexpected or bad happening to the sims. I stopped playing a good while ago and am now waiting for the early access for Paralives (I've been supporting them for a while now).

For me, this new direction is not the right one, but I also am aware that I am not the demographic - they are very much focusing on children and teens, not on the players who have a long history with the series. Well, if I'm not of any interest to them, they are not of any interest to me any longer, either.

It's sad that they've chosen the money hungry/content creation/influencer fans over the true fans who just want to play. After so many years too.

I'm not sure I would buy a Sims 5. Not because I would not like to, but because I see how the pack policy develops. There would probably not be a seasons pack, but a pack for every season for the price of a full pack. Same with pets (the cat pack, the dog pack, the critter pack) etc.
I wouldn't want to go down that money drain. Though i still buy occasionally a pack for Sims 4, since I already have invested so much into the game.
And that is probably true for a lot of people. Sims 5 might just be a flop, however good it would be made, just because of EAs monetizing fetish. People know by now, that a new Sims doesn't cost 60 or 80 bugs, but more like a thousand.
So they will just go on milking that old game as long as possible

Great video and i couldn't agree more! it's sad to see what the sims franchise has come to... Personally i've been playing the sims since the first game. i used to sit at the computer and play with my sister after school. I've played every iteration since then, but my favorite is 3. I tried playing Sims 4 for a few years after it came out, but i quickly lost interest after buying like 10-15 packs and still not having much fun with the game.

I've never minded starting over, and I could always continue playing my old stories on the older game when that transition happened. I didn't get into Sims 4, but was big into Sims 2 and 3, and the change in underlying mechanics and assumptions about what a Life Sim should be gives new gameplay opportunities in a way that addons and patches fundamentally cannot, even ignoring the technical debt problems with building updates upon updates upon updates.

Honestly im not that upset over this. I dont think i would move on to a sims 5 if they made it for the same reason i most likely wont be moving on to inzoi. Despite inzoi looking amazing in terms of graphics, my mods can't come with me and a lot of modders and cc creators have already said they wont be making inzoi content because they dont have the specs to ve able to run the game. With a sims 5, yes they can re release all the packs again but still, my mods wont be making the trip over with me.i know the sims will never make official packs for things like basemental drugs, extream violance and wicked whims, and i dont think its very likely that the creators of those mods would just abandon everything they've worked on and start over with a sims 5. The only thing that disappoints me about this news is that If the sins 4 ended development for new content, id be able to more comfortable download mods for things that coyld end up in the game through updates like hotels and grocery stores and i wouldnt need to worry about oficial updates breaking the game.

As for moders getting harassed, its very unfortunate and very vrey disappointing of the community, i would have hoped we were better than that. But that gas nothing to do with EA as a company and really more to do with us as a community. Realistically there is nothing ea can do about it and it would almost definitely ve an issue with a sims 5 aswell and also inzoi if that game gets mod support.

You know nobody high up at EA plays the Sims 4, because they'd be outraged by this point; they have no passion in their own work.

I generally don't get this "Move On" thing. I have been focused on a Sims 4 save I want to make a possible machinima with and setting that up. But after that I fully intend to go back and spend some time playing in a Sims 2 save I still have and I can play with my Sims 3 save whenever I want to drop back in. Sims 4 (which I refused to play until they had toddlers anyway) should not magically delete itself from anyone's computer because Sims 5 comes into being. You can still "start over" when you feel its worth it. Sims 3 also got updates until 2020, AFTER Sims 4 was already out.

Remember that bug I was complaining about last night. You know the baby's doing sit-ups. It only happens in build mode when I'm live with a person in the house. If I go into regular build mode it is perfectly fine. Now that's a strange bug. Due to the babies doing sit-ups. So fix that little bug for me please. That's all I ask. 😈👍

No I do not want mobile sims at all. Why can EA not do both? I wanted a brand new, bigger and better Sim's PC sandbox game. A Sims's 5. If people wanted more of sims 4 EA could do that too. This is coming from a person who has all the Sim's for PC games 1,2,3, and 4. loved the newness of the sims2, and 3 being bigger and better than the one before, but Sims 4 left a lot to be desired.

I've been a Sims player since Sims 1. I've played all 4 pc games, my Sims, My Sims Kingdom, My Sims secret agent, Bustin' out and The Urbz. Whew! When a new game came out I was excited to see what was coming next. I can't say that I feel that way now. I was patiently waiting for Sims 5. What I have seen from Rene' doesn't interest me at all! I haven't opened my Sims 4 game since before Lovestruck and I'm very apprehensive to do so.

It really amazes me that some people still buy the packs, kits etc.. like.. why?

Aside from that, sometimes it feels like EA makes sims for streamers, not for real people
