ОтветитьHow about now 3 years later. How do they compare?
Ответитьthanks for the video
ОтветитьGreat content, just useful information straightforward and I appreciate it! CRUCIAL question - you didn't need the right release to sell Donald Trump's photo? How does it work?
ОтветитьI wondered since ever why people pay at all for images, especially since from shutterstock there are a probably more than a handful of Terabytes datadumps on torrent with clean, full res images very nice sorted in categories.
Even the smallest archive/datadump is probably already worth like 10 million $ or so if you would purchase every image it contains legit, let alone the bigger ones with more than 3 TB!
We are just getting started with stock photography. I got a lot of good information from your video. Thanks
ОтветитьThanks Nicole, for posting just the information I was looking into. I will try them both, and will share my experience. The very idea of you taking off to take pictures at Alamy's request with no contract sheds light on how this industry operates.
We have to be more innovative at getting paid our effort's as we are creative with the content we create!
I’m new in the photography world, your video really inspired me, I’m signing up for shutterstock right away, thanks Nic 🤘🏼
ОтветитьIn now days Shutterstock does not pay a fair share for our work.
ОтветитьSelling in Shutterstock is a robbery.. it sells my photo's for 0.10 $. selling on alamy, pond 5, and Adobe stock is better option. You will sell less than Shutterstock but you will get more money from your content

ОтветитьI found dreamstime is more friendly and pay more. Suddenly

WHAT Proof do you have your photos were not sold / more often and they (oops) didn't tell you ?
I've worked for large corporations and the higher-ups justify their high pay scale by lying, cheating, scamming and stealing and when they get caught they just apologize -- no harm no foul.
Hi Nicole it's a great video from you.
I have a question, have you ever sell your commisioned photo's to microstock agency?
I sold 2 photos on Alamy for a payout of $90. They didn't pay me. Instead, they "carried over" $66 to the next month without paying the other $24. If I'd allowed them to continue, they'd have carried over again, and my valance would have been less than the $50 minimum required for a payout. In other words, they were trying to avoid payment. I threatened them and they paid the $66, but never the other $24. Other photographers are having trouble with them also. In short, never use Alamy. Alamy is crooked, so you may have a lot of sales they don't tell you about. I don't trust them.
ОтветитьLove the live news story! I was in Hong Kong during the first round of protests and I had uploaded a bunch of photos from them. Alamy contacted me requesting more info and told me they were putting them out on the news feed and they seemed excited. I did not get any news sales from them. I sold some later including a book cover, but nothing at the time. Since they have been brought out, Live News access is much more limited. But Alamy is the only agency I really make money at. I have been there 16 years and should cross $500,000 in gross sales next month (around $225k net). Outside of Pond 5, I have not crossed $1,000 with any other agency. I sometimes think i should make my own video 😂😂😂
ОтветитьHow to upload popular characters photoes to shutterstock web.?
Ответитьim begining
ОтветитьI gave up on Shutterstock. They're too hard to deal with. And, I'm having payment issues with Alamy. They're veery late with payments, and they hold back some of my money.
ОтветитьDear.miss my shutterstock account disable copyright videos issue kindly soultion
ОтветитьAfter the horrible commission cuts in the new Alamy contract, that starts on July 1st, I am looking for an Alamy alternative. If I do not find one, I will give many photos to free photo websites. I often use photos from those free websites myself and would like to give something back to others.
ОтветитьI have been with Alamy since a few years after it started and the cut was then 60% to the photographer. It went down to 50% (16% cut)and the other year almost went down to 40% but stayed at 50% for exclusive images but from 1st June the photographer cut will be 30% for most people and 40% for those who have an annual turnover of more than $250. Also prices have been sliding down from $300+ to an average of $15.
Alamy are not pros in any sense of the word. They will encourage you to chase anything in order to stock their site.
Alamy paid me 610 UDS for one illustration I uploaded......I have also been on Shutterstock (as on Adobe Stock, iStock...) for 3 years and never, I mean never, despite thousands downloads, reach 100 USD......so, all your talk about consistency is little bitt, let's say lazy.....if you want to earn money from your artistic work, Alamy is the only one solution.
ОтветитьHow to deleteimages in Alamy
ОтветитьThank you Nicole for sharing lime you do!-
ОтветитьWhy not upload on all at the same time and get whatever possible from all ?
ОтветитьIt seems to me if you are uploading the exact same images to both sites, and Alamy is selling the image for $60, and Shutterstock is selling it for $2.90, you are sabotaging your sales at Alamy. Why would anyone pay you one price for something when they can get the exact same thing for 1/20 of the price at the click of a mouse?
ОтветитьIf I buy, do I have all rights to the image?
Ответить
