Dual screen "automatically" turns on when you "activate" it. Hows that automatic?

does yours have a magnet on the bottom left side of the back of the case

i think that the wasted space with the case was to keep the processor cooler??? like that is where the phone tends to get hot.

Whatever guys. Samsung Fold costs CAD2500!. I am using a LG G8X Dual Screen which I bought for CA400. Do your math. The real dual screen can wait. I am super satisfied with my CAD400 LG dual screen phone.

You can get this mint condition for less than 250 USD now without the 2nd screen, which is crazy.

Been having the g8x thinq since November 2019. I thought i reviewed enough to make a decision on choosing this phone. I was mistaken. Should have stuck with Samsung. As of 3 weeks ago, the "other" screen, apparently wasnt glued enough bc it came flapping off and hanging. Now it will not work. The phone goes offline when i go 20mi down the road and towers change. I have to restart. The camera is very shitty. The charger thats to be used while in dual case is not at all magnetically strong enough to move phone without coming off. The blick that was sent with my phone wont even charge. I have to use my samsung charger. And the volume sucks for phone calls and music. Im so 😠 for choosing this damn phone!

I purchased this LG dual screen phone from Bell. BEWARE: the case does not close completely. Mine leaves a half inch gap. I was at Bell for over three hours today setting up the new phone. When Bell completed the job, they discovered that the case was broken/flawed/defective. LG won't send me a new case, and Bell wants the complete phone returned. That would leave me without a phone for two weeks, and I will have to pay to set it up again. I am so very disappointed at both LG and Bell.

Also, If you wear normal men jeans not ones they look like leggings it will fit comfortably in your pockets.

Even buying it cash head to head against other folding phones G8x is best value for the buck.
G8x is far more durable and far more multi tasking capable...for HALF the price.... You can keep your 2000 dollar snowflake status symbol toy. I will take a real work horse first time every time. Plus you missed a ton of camera features that make very innovative use of that 2nd screen. Just like LG pioneered the wide angle lens on the G5 that many others now copy... Once again they have set a multi tasking bar that you will soon see others emulate

LG...they do have some great ideas but they just don't spend enough effort to make it work perfectly, leaving their customers as lab mice. Using LG phones sometimes is pain in a$$

I have been looking for this phone where i live (belgium) this thing costs 950 euro everywhere i look (1045$) not worth it to me wonder why its 700$ over there

is it waterproof? and is it android upgrade-able? also you can uninstall apps that build in the phone?

I am considering getting this after some really good reviews. I may just be ditching my Samsung flagships this year. I love a great audio experience. LG has it where others are ditching the 3.5. I have over 100 pair of headphones so a good 3.5 is a must.

that made the back big because it used to be used for the LG V50 back fingerprint scanner.

My 4 smartphones all haver really thick cases which I made myself with reptile leather and silver jewelry... So I can't carry them in my pocket... Also I never WOULD carry my smartphone in my trouser pocket... I have a also self made bag which fits all 4 phones inside... Actually this smartphone here would be absolutely awesome... Definitely for gaming.....

I would like info on the audio. LG claims 2.4 amps to the speaker/s. Does it sound good on its own?

I have this phone and I've been using it in the dual screen case full time. It is bulky. However, I really dislike multitasking on a single screen, and this thing lets you multitask so easily. I study Japanese, so I can read a Japanese book or watch a Japanese language show and keep my dictionary up on the other screen - it really helps.

It's great for any number of other things, like calling an Uber on one screen and just leaving it up while using your phone for something else, like texting. I think it'll be hard to go back to one screen after this.
