Thanks for the video 😊 helped alot
ОтветитьHated the excessive in game camera movement. Couldn't move past the motion blur segment.
Ответить?
ОтветитьTY! Learned a great deal. Many I didn't know. All my sincere best!
Ответитьwhat i hate most is film grain.
ОтветитьMostly good points, but Physx was one of the best things in gaming while it lasted. Borderlands 2 with Physx>>>>>>Borderlands 2 without Physx, it adds a lot to the game.
ОтветитьMotion blur is for console games locked at a low FPS.
Ответитьhow about Anti Aliansing you miss there
Ответитьmotion blur sucks
ОтветитьCamera people poring over reviews looking for lenses that don't have chromatic aberrations or vignetting
Video game people putting them in their games to make their game look like it was shot with a cheap lens.
Oh boy...
Motion blur can look nice IF you have power to spare and the game is already running at the maximum framerate your monitor can display, since in that situation motion blur is the only way to make the game look smoother.
But if you have a high refresh rate monitor (like 165hz) and a PC that can run at said framerates, then that will be much more effective at making the motion look smoother.
Especially because, in practice, higher framerates CREATE the same motion blur effect naturally from various images being rapidly shown and the human brain combining them into a blurry trail.
I hate motion blur its absolutely sucks. I am happy to turn it off for the extra fps.
ОтветитьI agree with most of em, but mouse smoothing is still kinda decent on SOME games (not fps)
ОтветитьMotion blur triggers my vertigo. In immortals of aveum you can't turn it off so i've been keeping my sessions to 30 min at a time to avoid it.
ОтветитьI hate when FPS games cannot get the mouse settings right, like Cyberpunk and Starfield/Fallout. It almost screams "i cant make FPS games"
Ответитьi like most of these hehe
Ответить1. Upscalers like dlss and fsr, it’s true cancer.
ОтветитьI turn off antialiasing, since it eats my fps and I don't see a difference
Ответитьu have just mentioned every setting that I absolutely love and will turn on all the time. except for the PhysX(cuz of the poor performance) and camera shake(cuz it gives me motion sickness). Digital foundry is the only set of ppl who talks sense and share my thoughts rather than the PC sheep mentality to turn off settings because others ppl do it
ОтветитьI would also say, not necessarily turn it off but anti-aliasing is something you should make sure you’re running the best type for your system, AA can be a huge tax on the system.
ОтветитьI love motion blur.
ОтветитьMouth smoothing was in CoD infinite warfare, but it wasn't that bad then
ОтветитьI cannot, for the life of me, detect motion blur whatsoever
ОтветитьI actually like the bloom effect if done correctly. It's realistic when it works like when you get out of a darkroom into daylight. Not realistic when it's used to accent lights in an already well lit environment. I use vsync to actual keep my gpu cool and quiet if it would go up to 100% use.
ОтветитьBloom and lens flare are the bane of my gaming existence ☀️ 👀 blinded
ОтветитьPersonally I enjoy all of these effects lol
ОтветитьFun fact: you don't need to turn off these settings if you have rtx build pc😄
ОтветитьI can`t turn off Vsync. If i do i get MASSIVE screen tearing, it´s unplayable (60hz 4K TV)
I like bloom and lens flare. Games look way too off without them.
I agree with the rest of the options.
Take vsync off the list and replace it with forced anti aliasing, which is the greatest cancer of them all.
ОтветитьBloom on its own isn’t bad when done properly it’s definitely better than without but lens flare just looks cheap in most cases in my opinion
ОтветитьBloom, CAN be good, but in most cases, I just turn it down. Bloom, I keep at about a quarter strength, becasue when something is meant to emit light, I'd like to see it. But not go blind doing it.
Ответитьblooms and lens flare, as a person who plays warframe, i can relate, because the dev are also apply the bloom and lens flare to particles, good news is, that the bloom intensity can be controlled
Ответитьso basically what you're saying is you don't like post processing...
ОтветитьHow dare you tell me how to play videogames, I like bloom
Ответитьif your monitor refresh rate is lower than the average a fps..chromatic aberration and motion blur helps it to hide the screen tearing..thats is why every game has that settings, if you use sync, yes probably it is better to turn it off..
ОтветитьAs a photographer some of these settings amuse me. I spend so much time and money to reduce ISO/ noise, chromatic aberration, vignette, and lens flare. Why in the world would I want to add there except for the occasional artistic choice. And while I like having depth of field, I think I only really like it when talking to NPC’s or looking at specific objects.
Ответитьthe 10,9,8 is really the most annoying feature for me as it makes me sick playing the game. Meanwhile, the other features stated are always it depends or really not using it because I know its useless
ОтветитьWith V-Sync; Use this two finger rule:
If reaction time matters in a game, turn it off.
If not, turn it on.
V sync actually saved my gpu 0.1 lows and 1% lows in frame rate
ОтветитьSome, like bloom or chromatic aberration you can try and fix with ReShade. Sounds stupid to put more FPS into fixing something that costs FPS, and it is not perfect, but sometimes this is your only option.
Ответитьilove bloom most of the time lol
ОтветитьI turn of motion blur and will avoid play any game that using motion blur but don't have the option to turn it off
Ответитьyou dont know too much motion blur until youve played the vanishing of Ethan Carter
ОтветитьI disagree about nvidia hairwork, imo it was much much better in Witcher 3 then normal hair and considering 95% of the time you see Geralt's hair i think it's worth it
Ответитьi will never turn off vsync, running more frames just wastes energy and produces more heat, these should only be done on ultra competitive games not on singleplayers.
Ответить
