One of the Best films I've ever seen. Genuinely made me frightened

I watched this last halloween with my teenage daughter. She was the same age as i was when i first watched it (14). I told her i was going to show her a crazy documentary movie about a witch that will terrify her. Literally like 2 minutes later, she pulled up everything she could about the blair witch. Ruined my attempt to scare my daughter, who loves horror movies and isnt easily scared.
Stupid internet.

I was 12 when this movie came out. I just showed it to my 10 year old and I had to explain to him this was before the age of the internet we have today. The internet was JUST in its infancy. They did this movie brilliantly

I watched this movie once back in 1999, it messed me up as an 8 year old

They shot this video in the woods near my house on Government property in MD. Me and a friend went to check out the house where they shot the last scene. Freaky. And we decided to take some things laying around as props from the set. LOL As we were walking out of the protected forest there was a state trooper waiting for us.... Dang!

This movie must have increased Church's donations

One of the most important movies in the history of horror. Already a pure classic.

The hype was everywhere. Pre internet and most believed the story of found footage and hikers who disappeared. The truth was out by the time I watched it and it was still real and haunting. The ending was chilling

Shining, I split on your grave, The Exorcist, Rosemary Baby and The blair witch project are MASTERPIECE....

Scared me to death when I was 9 and thought this was real. Whew.

People talking about they act really good. But just one know what is happening.

I had an incredible experience watching this movie in the theatre when it came out. My boyfriend at the time told me before the movie that it was a true footage documentary. So, while watching it I thought it was a documentary and it was real! And, to make it even more scary, in the middle of the movie some guy in the theatre stood up and started acting weird and scared the people in the theatre. What an experience for me it was!! It was only days later, I think that I found out it was an acted movie.

Is this supposed to be scary?
