Insane. This guys camping game is next level.
ОтветитьAaahhhh….mapgas, love your style Steve👍
ОтветитьIn the old days to heat a bed there used to be pans that had a lid and held embers or burning coals.
ОтветитьGood think you put the rain cover on the tent in the tent.
ОтветитьFor a floor I think a layer of a large tarp then a couple sheets of plywood then an indoor outdoor nylon rug would be great for a floor.
ОтветитьPut some rocks on the fire and transfer hot rocks into big tent? Help warm it up
ОтветитьHey the have a new gear it’s called reverse so you can back up instead of carrying your stuff so far! Lol
ОтветитьThe video content and comment section convinced me to subscribe.
ОтветитьPutting the candles in the Big Town you're not going to have to worry about CO2
ОтветитьIf you made them out of clay pots you wouldn't have a problem inside that little tent
ОтветитьThose tents are a pain in the ass you can do them a hundred times and still have trouble putting them together
Ответитьnow do a tent in a tent in tent.
ОтветитьSo super cozy omgggggg
ОтветитьI worked for the conservation corps, they had us camping in -35 degrees on the regular. We had a survival instructor who would advise us during extreme situations. The main tip he gave us was sleep without pants or shirt and us multi layers of sleeping bags and blankets. Arizona, New Mexico are cold as fuck in the middle of the desert especially with no wind cover. There was a herd of cows that would surround our camp in the morning, they were covered in ice. I opened my tent to one chewing and drooling in my face. Also the inside of my tent had ice from my breathe.
ОтветитьDo they make arch lighters with a fan behind them? Put a few of those in a metal box, and bring a whole lot of batteries I bet you can make a “propane buddy” esque device with no CO / CO2 output.
ОтветитьI've done something similar. Instead of candles, I used a Mr. Buddy Heater to keep things warm. Plus, I had a solar power set-up to keep my electronics charged. My tents were not rated for winter, but it all worked out
ОтветитьJohnsonville Stadium brats are the best tasting I think…like what I had in Germany….
ОтветитьReally! An actual heater worked the best? Who would have thought.
ОтветитьI will stick to sleeping on the boat in cool 30*F weather. That was way too cold for this southern boy.
Ответить"i'm not Chuckk Norris"😅
ОтветитьI see I'm very late on this, but I really want to try this.
ОтветитьJujimufu if he did camping content instead of weight-lifting.
Ответить❤
Ответитьthis video is definitely ten(t) out of ten(t)
ОтветитьI've used the double clay pot and tea candle method for cold weather camping inside my SUV, and it works well except for the paraffin wax flavor the air has in the morning from burning cheap tea candles...
ОтветитьPlease don't be ashamed to subscribe, lol.
ОтветитьHave you never heard of a ground cloth? Had you laid out a tarp for the Otter to sit on it would have made a difference in staying warmer in the whole cocoon thing.
Ответитьa clay pot and 3 tea candles would have been good heating in there. 2 clay pots would have been epic heating. but who goes camping, toting clay pots around? 🤔🤷
ОтветитьTry hearing with a twig burning hobo stove.
ОтветитьAn aluminum pie pan on a table or stand would have done a better job at increasing the heat inside of the tent.
ОтветитьCamping asmr yay lol
ОтветитьThis is the first Steve Wallis video I watched. And I was hooked. Now whenever I see votive candles in the store, it makes me think of this video and smile
ОтветитьNo floor in the tent! Might’ve been a little warmer if tent wasn’t sitting on snow covered ground? Try one next time with a tent that has a floor in it! Idk? Buddy Heater would be good, no electric required
ОтветитьHave you tried the tea lights in the terracotta pots?
ОтветитьBest heating method is 2 people in a 3 person tent with 2 Labrador retrievers. Outside temp was 30F, inside was 60F all night. Literally had to open leg zip because to hot. The absolute best tent heating method, large dogs!
ОтветитьWhat if you got some rocks cooking on the fire and then put them on a cooking trey inside the ice tent?
ОтветитьEnjoyed your video. Thanks for posting.
ОтветитьImagine a tent in a tent in a tent
Ответить“Yeah. It feels a lot colder outside than in.” 🤣🤪😂
ОтветитьNope, no for me
ОтветитьI'm not a hiker or camper, but I could have told you thoese tea lights would have done nothing, why you even entertain the idea.......well common sense isn't a natural thing.
ОтветитьThis is cool.
We put tarps under our tent to keep water and cold off the bottom. I'm in the south and it's humid.
Believe it or not the coldest I've ever camped has been in Florida lol
You used tea light candles to warm the sleeping area and use a torch to light the wood. I think there has to be a compromise with the inside heat 😂❤ cause i was already thinking that generator was gonna have an electric blanket plugged in lol
ОтветитьSo you "camp" on the ice? 😮
ОтветитьPerfect day for camping?
I live in south texas and i would not be exiting my house for months with that white stuff on the ground 😂
Edit **
Whats funny is i found this video because it was going to be in the 50s and i thought about putting a canopy over my tent to block the wind and rain 😂
Love this ol' gem ❤ keep doing what you love, whatever that is or becomes. That's the sauce! Thanks for all the great content, I'm sure I'm responsible for dozens of the views on each video 😊🍁
Ответитьgoddammit steve! its too cold to go camping!
