Breast feeding better obviously but if you cannot do it for whatever reason please don’t make yourself miserable . It doesn’t happen for every baby but at least you tried . I only breast fed for 7 weeks then totally dried up . My daughter fed really well with the bottle , she is now a healthy 37 year old xx

I didn't get to breastfeed and I had a c section..so for me I definitely felt let down but it was personal..i wanted to experience vaginal and work with my body to birth but it wasn't in the cards. I've learned to be okay with it now years later. I breast fed first baby for two days then gave up cause it hurt so bad and I changed to formula.

Can't you just have your baby in private like most people? You had un protected sex and got pregnant. Well done. Anyone would think you'd actually done something clever

I couldn’t breast feed either I tried but didn’t want to because I was on pain meds and didn’t want baby to ingest those and breast feed and I felt so much better. I’m so excited for you Gemma. I completely 1000% did not care what people thought.

Also just finished Baby Reindeer, I'd seen it was a true story and that the main actor was the actual man it happened too before I started watching but I think that actually made it even worse to watch! I felt so sorry but also frustrated with him at the same time! Shows the trauma it actually caused him

Thank you so much for elevating my day and seeing the funny side in things like I do. Why do men hate DIY when they are able to do it and understand tools etc? You are the most authentic blogger on here and I love you for who you are and what you portray on here. You are a joy to watch and I am a fan now after discovering you recently.

One thing that annoyed me was that as I walked to the toilet afterwards i felt stuff coming out of me and was horrified to see what looked like bits of liver coming out of me and no one had warned me and you have all those months of advice????? It was horrible - coagulated blood falling out of me and you do need to know things like that!!!! I thought everything had been dealt with as I had pre eclampsia and had been there in the delivery room for some time and second time baby went into distress but I went home earlier and had stitches like you after a tear.

You are so right about some of the midwives and I put a complaint in when my daughter gave birth and my experiences were like a production line and ok we are NHS patients but giving birth is a scary experience and we should be treated with compassion and care and understanding or don't do the job leave and let someone who is caring do it!!!

I got engorged with breastfeeding and no one warned me and I also got left with another woman's screaming baby in a 2 bed room as she kept going out for cigarettes!!!!! Awful and should not happen and poor baby if breastfeeding as nicotine in blood. Baby was obviously hungry and distressed me and I needed to destress. I continued to breastfeed for 3 month but she had colic and in the end to prevent the wind as she was so hungry and born 2 weeks early I added formula and she had had the antibodies by then I felt and was so much happier on formula rather than me who could not keep up the production line as when you are stressed with colic as a mum you produce less milk I found.

Noah is such a clever, happy little boy, a absolute ray of sunshine ☀️🌞☀️

The lactation consultant at the hospital I gave birth at was an older woman from Uruguay and she was pretty old school and aggressive. She’d make me feel so stressed and ashamed about the struggles I experienced. In the end, though, my baby thrived from formula, as it allowed him to gain the weight he needed, so don’t feel bad!

When I was postpartum I wore the adult nappies with a thick pad or an ice pad think on the inside them they were a life saver

I’m due in just under 2 weeks and I have no desire or plan to breastfeed. Everyone talks to you like you have absolutely no idea of benefits ect. I’m not breastfeeding because I don’t want to be over touched and I also want to start intermittent fasting ASAP once he’s here which can sometimes cause your toxins to go into your breast milk. I’m so ready for the midwives to come for me 😂

People can call me selfish but my mental health has been in the bin during my pregnancy so I want to get myself back to my happy self for my baby. I think he needs a happy mum more than breast milk.

One of the things I did for my second baby was the baby bought my eldest a teddy as a present after she was born and it had a cute little personalized jumper on saying to my big sister love Jessica. My eldest still has this teddy 17 years later and never travels without it. Lovely keepsake. X
