Autel EVO Nano+ (Plus) - The Review

Bought this for €330 and I’m not disappointed. Compared to my previous drone dji spark this is a good drone to fly.

I have searched for your review for this drone before I decide if I will buy it or not, however I have two questions :
1- you mentioned that it has no way points on release, now that one year has passed, did autel add this feature ?
2- can I fly it using only sky app and my mobile or do I have to buy the remote to fly this mini drone ?

I have that issue all the time while wanting to fly my drone in my front yard and my home is near military base. It will never let me fly. It really bothers me that DJI has put that no fly zone on my drone. I purchased it not the military. And I have answered all the question and accepted full responsibility while flying in my front yard in a no fly zone. What really is bi beef is every time I want to fly my DJI MINI 3 pro in my front yard I always must fill out their no fly zone contract. Really pisses me off that companies allow government to violate our privacy rights

can someone tell me what is the name of the app to connect with the camera ?

Alright.... so there's some issues.... some flight bugs and some wacky things....


But you know dji O4 only competes with skylink now because of 5.2. The flyer itself may not be as great and the warranty And support is not good at all


But the pictures and video this takes are incredible still to this day. It kills in low light and night shooting- the over sharpness Works to its advantage in these cases. Not having to deal with a geofence is a wonderful thing and the price went way down.


Worth a second look for sure. Many gave up on these but they are still worth using

He turned on the nano first than the mini 2 The nano has a much better camera the mini 2 pick up GPS better than the nano

What Zone do you live ? Idaho?

Isn't the GPS down to the device you're using to fly it? IE: your phone? I know nothing so I am just asking.

How much worse is the image on the autel evo nano in comparison to the nano plus? I don't see a single image comparison between them so I thought that you maybe have had both at some point

I ordered the premium version (3 batteries, bag) in Europe for $640.

So I’m trying to decide between the nano plus or the dji mini 3 pro.. Costco has the premium bundle for the nano plus for 599 right now. What would you chose keeping the price in mind. I also don’t do a lot of post photo editing, so I’m wondering what drone would take a better picture? TIA

yea great, they do that right now, but not the same year as mini was born, so i think u must compare that with new technology dji right now, dji have fpv and they not, and a few year latter they will make compare with old product again, to make they looking good,

It costs over £100 more than the DJI Mini 2. Granted it has 3 way obstacle avoidance, but I can do without that.

Well its 2023 this must be garbage now , its out dated , well thats what you said about the mini 2 so i guess its true about this drone too now , guess watching this was a waist of time , thanks for nothing

No matter what resolution I put mine on when I download the video via wifi it always shows 720p. Anyone else had this issue? Do you have to remove the SD card and insert it into the device you are downloading to in order to get 4k?

Do you have to do compass cal every time you go up?

When you pay for an Autel drone, you own it. When you pay for a DJI drone, they still own it.

Great video! Does the Nano+ take photos that are Geo-tagged? I do surveying for solar systems and the drone photos we take need to be geo tagged.

My experience has been a disaster with this drone company. I am at the beginning of a lawsuit against Autel robotics in Europe because it was impossible to reach an agreement with a terrible customer support (directly with China) I would NOT recommend anyone to deal with this company. If anything happens, it will be very difficult to repair or even that they respect the warranty on the machine. In my case, it fell from the sky without any warning in the app. As I said, I will have this settled in court

I need to add a spot light to a drone. Can I do that with this drone or should I look else where?

One thing you did not mention is if you are in a remote area with no phone signal does the APP work ?
Does DATA have to be switched on when using the APP ?
ie do you need a good data connection in order to use the phone app ? If it is sunny how do you see the screen ?

I fly my Autel Evo Nano + with my new Flip 3 phone, however I want to upgrade to a tablet, can you recomend one that will work with the Autel App.

Cannot see a point to buying this drone. There are features still not implemented from day one that were promised. Flight characteristics are awful compared to DJI. Log can currently only be used in auto mode. This is an EOL drone from day one, especially now the DJI mini is out. If only Autel could deliver what they promised it would be an amazing drone. Given what happened to the V1 EVO Pro 2. I can only assume Autel are working on a DJI mini 3 Pro clone drone with smart controller. No point buying the Autel Nano Plus as the new one will be here soon, with the same flaws and underdelivered buggy firmware.

Ok so. This may seem to be an odd question. I'm looking for a drone a with good camera. The drone will only be used during my archery training. This will allow me to see my form and alignment from overhead. What drone would you recommend that wont break the bank?

You've got me wanting to upgrade now. I originally bought a Mavic Mini 1 knowing it would be my learning experience. Disappointed in the still image quality. Then bought an EVO 1. Love it, but it is too darn big to carry with my when traveling for work or riding my bicycle. Considering this Nano for an upcoming vacation.
