I know I’m very late, but it almost feels like the cedo was possibly intended to be an exhalted weapon for lavos. I would guess that it would be either his 1 or 3.

Lavos main here. Built my build around adding statuses using the archon mods and ability potency. It is a tank with 2k health and a skjanti (umbra sword) with status adders with that status overload thing. Then I use naturat for high dmg.

With that range in his 4, Lavos can just cast his 4 whenever he feels like it...

i think that larvos's ability kills should have enemies drop an element that they are weak to, and when larvos picks it up his ability gets a cooldown of 5 seconds, or if he kills an enemy who is effected by his ability...

Cedo basically had conditional overload on a primary before it was cool

I spent money to get this frame. I don't know how to use him. I leveled him, and haven't touched him since.

Lagos is the best for railjack aswell his cooldown abilities make railjack a fucking cakewalk

I believe Catalyze is a 30-second cooldown because with casual play, most 4s are triggered this "frequently" given energy costs.

However for more "gamer" players, this is where the disparity is obvious, as most people with "endgame" mod libraries can trigger their 4s almost nonstop without much energy management issues.

Okay, so...
Since your reasonable complaints, I come with news about "Jellyfish Head" here.
So, they didn't change any of the cooldown stuff, BUT they didn't completely ignore it. Because now, we got an augment for Lavos's "Ophidian Bite" that helps solve that problem.
"Swift Bite," which reduces the cooldowns of any of your abilities by four seconds each time you hit at least four enemies.
However...it's only accessible via Red Veil or New Loka, so unless you're allied with either of those, cross your balls and pray.

Edit: With that in mind, if you really like playing Lavos for the sake of his Catalyze, you can get your cooldown back pretty quickly with use of Swift Bite and Transmutation Probe. I'd probably go with Swift Bite first in a big group, THEN throw out the Probe, Cedo disk, and then Catalyze. By the time you've got all that down, you've got Swift Bite ready to use again for your Probe, and repeat.

Hold on, with his whole 3 before or after 4 issue you had... Can't you just 3 when 4 is on cooldown but ALMOST done to instantly 4 after? And that is functionally identical in terms of cooldown management to doing the 3 after, but this way the procs benefit the 4s damage.

Lavos has became my main frame alongside Octavia and Equinox. Lavos is absolutely amazing at breaking down enemies and they just melt when you combine him with his Cedo, I haven't seen an enemy not melt just keep up on your infusions, and get creative with vial rush

I do think his 3 has slightly more use because of it generating the universal orb/ammo pickups (the whole "Transmutation" part), and that's totally a valid reason to be using it outside of Catalyze cooldown reset, but it is ultimately pretty minor. Still nice though, especially with Equilibrium!

so I recently found my main in lavos after not knowing who to play for 3 years, this vidya got me thinking, what if the powers all reduced the cooldowns of each other e.g.
Transmute probe - catalyse
Catalyse - ophydian bite
Ophydian bite - vial rush
Vial rush - transmute probe
You'll notice it goes 1-2-3-4-1 cos idk that made logical sense to me but this would be a buff made by Canadians so it would probably go 7-34-1-3





also Valence block most op passive in the game it's literally so good

you forgot to mention the part where he can use railjack abilities for free (with a cooldown), making him the absolute best pilot there is. otherwise very sexy video

Fun fact , lavos's 4 when used in the railjack tactical has a cooldown of 7 sec so if you take him On a railjack mission it is better to just use your tactical menu

the switching between elements thing is cool but i feel like it just doesnt belong in a fast paced game like this
