I think the best plateau buster is just changing weight and going to failure. Louie Simmons once said something about not doing the same weight for 3 weeks, he's pretty credible

Im just confused how should I train like this, like should I bench press for strength 3 times a week and try these things? Because based on the conjugate method I have simply one day of strength and one day of dynamic effort so I’m not sure where to put these tips

Honestly if you’re using a slingshot, shirt or any other equipment you’re not strong enough to bench that weight from the beginning, bench 500 raw and only then can you claim 500

i just bought a flybird bench. it well built but just getting it off the bar is as hard as one rep because its so high off the ground. feel this will help me be stronger in the long run even though it seems im doing 1 less rep then i was before with same weight

Its been a long time since i failed a bench attempt so i dont know exactly where im weakest at, but as far as i can remember, i usually fail at the bottom half, not the top.

Hey Brom, this is scientifically excellent. Pauses, pin presses and sling shot really helped me and into triceps bench block too. I always do my regular work first which includes CAT.

But for now, I'm doing Kong. It's mentally like a vacation reset focusing on hard work and short rests. Hard on the muscles easy on the mind. Phase one was cool everything backwards lol. Often ending with some light weights. Going well now in phase two. I recommend Kong for those who have had several stressful meets in a row. Build the muscle and heal. But ya at the end of summer I'll go back to some crazy Kazmeir type sht

Since you aren’t pausing the dead stop presses long enough you’re really only “not getting” the stretch reflex for the first rep

Nice thing about overload/lockout work, if you’re on a high(er) frequency bench program, the shoulders/pecs can often benefit from a deload. Doing shortened ROM or accommodating resistance kinda checks both boxes.

What if the safety for dead press is set up in a way that the bar can sort of touch your chest? Is that good as well or you need to bar to stop a couple of inches above your chest?
