I notice that the "How did we get here?" aspect is left out. That is by design. When the operational systems malfunction and production is halted, there is no time to fixate on what led to the failure; the priority is to get up and running again. Once production resumes, there will be plenty of time to investigate the root cause of the malfunction. An emergency SITREP is not the discussion for speculation; only facts. If assisting personnel need to know events and actions before the system went down, they will ask.

ОтветитьWHY DO YOU WEAR THOSE NAZIS HATS.

Great Video! Perfect Norwegian Wisconsin Minnesota accent

Thank you very much for this concise explanation of SITREP and its rationale. I'm adapting this to train my staff on the necessities of proper status reporting, no egos, not bragging or whining...
ОтветитьVery relevant and usefull knowledge
ОтветитьSix W's of reporting format also work for civilian environments. Great video.
ОтветитьThe examples were as funny as f*** lmao
ОтветитьLove your video, thank u.
Learn things every day. 🤗🤗
Did yall get taught the METHANE report?
METHANE and SITREP sound very similar.
Amazing. I joined the army. 63 years ago. Virtually everything has changed — except, apparently the SALUTE acronym.
ОтветитьPlz if you'll h
ave the time, may you consider doing a video on a contact report. Will really appreciate.
I guess this is a KISS ( Keep it Short and Simple). Thank you all of your videos. Love them.
ОтветитьI wish my wife would learn how to give a SITREP. It'd avoid the "well what do you want me to do" segment lol.
ОтветитьMan-jams 🤣🤣
ОтветитьBrings back good memories of transmitting spot reports over EHF.
ОтветитьI suggest the most important concept presented by our host, and perhaps glanced over a bit, is PRACTICE. As you go throughout your day, practice imaginary "Phoning in a car crash to 911" or any other emergency. Practice describing WHERE you are at. Practice describing VEHICLES and PEOPLE. The ability to clearly relay information will suffer when faced with a real emergency. Practice it when it's NOT a real emergency and it will be easier and more helpful when it happens IN a real emergency.
ОтветитьHow many other formats are there for SITREPs?
ОтветитьI hear the term SPOTREP as well..does that relate to this in some way or is there a difference?
ОтветитьSitreps are not special operations specific. Every conventional military uses them. Not all things military transfer to the civilian context. Each interaction/context in the real world would require totally different info: business, ems, police, kids school etc. And remember, civilians don't use one way radio. Its conversational, and the 911 operator, or school principal will know the info they need most.
Next? How to fast rope onto your office building to make you 9am meeting. Haha
**Checking to see any negative comments or any comments saying this isnt correct to see if I need to change it. Cause apparently OEC G&V is wrong**
ОтветитьI come across people who make those mistakes all too often. It really tries my patience lol
ОтветитьJust wanted to let you know that this really helped me out a couple of weeks ago. Me and a couple of my friends wore jumped by a big group of older guys, but when I called my parents I used the exact steps that you laid out in this video, and they told me later that they wore really thankfull for it. So thanks again for the clear and precise information you put out
Ответитьsomething tells me he made this video after an emotional phone call with his daughter
ОтветитьHi, I am a student. I just want to know why a situational report should contain actual situation on a particular incident?
I hope someone will give an answer to my question. Thank you! :)
Can u make a video better explaining who you are and what was your experience with the Green Berets. I know this isn't the central idea of your channel as you said in your introduction but might help the viewers better know who you are and stop people from saying dumb things like "stolen valor, etc"
ОтветитьI imagine your daughter only giving her name, rank, ID and DOB to the police if she ever (heaven forbid) gets into a car accident.
Ответитьare u allowed to share this stuff in the open internet?
ОтветитьIn our Fire dep. we usually use this structure
Unit Name
Location
Situation
Undergoing procedures
Planned procedures
Request for Backup?
The guy looks like rhino from lls
ОтветитьCan you tell us what SFG you were in ?
Ответитьdo a video on the new ranger battalion please
ОтветитьCan you make some video about field medics and first aid on the battlefield?
ОтветитьMore people need to see this, or work on perfecting this. If only news media stuck with this format, we could shorten 24 hour news to 2 hour news.
Hell, day 1 of recruit training they start beating this into your head with your phone call home.
Well done Sir..this report is absolutely very great..thank you for the post ..Enjoy it
ОтветитьSit rep. Shots fired! Can’t see him. Boot prints.....size 11. Vibrant soled. Headed east! My position. Shots Fired! Sounds like only one. Do you copy? Request back up! Will proceed in 5 minutes. Shots Fired!
ОтветитьSit rep. There is a bar.....down under.......called “Hell”. Let’s meet up there after we record this album! OK! That would be a great Song! Yea! They will think it’s about us telling everybody to go to Hell! Brilliant! I’m on the Highway to Hell! AC DC. Any questions?
ОтветитьWhat should go? Bootcamp or OCS?
ОтветитьDouglas C Nedermyer. Gives a sit rep to his child. We’re not gonna take it! Twisted Sister. Can you point out......any flaws in his form....or intent?
ОтветитьGreat material! Please keep it up! I sent it along to my nephews!
ОтветитьThis is Bravo 2-4-2-7, to Vulture 2-1 give me SITREP over!
ОтветитьWhat’s the difference between a Ranger tab and the scroll?
ОтветитьI used to give my location as “In MMFD” during Desert Storm. It drove US call signs mad until they figured it out.
Ответить10-4
ОтветитьCommand: Sit-Rep?
Me: Sees One Thicc Mamacita Stroll By
Me: Bravo Six Going Dark
Civilians: Please, and Thank You, pay attention to the video on " SITREP ( SITUATION REPORT)" and other videos put out by Christopher Littlestone( LTC, USA SF).
ОтветитьThis actually reminded me of a trainer who liked to chit chat with us during video conferences.
Trainer: "Alright, [R.B.], if I need to access this system, what do I do?"
Me: Demonstrates how to do it
Trainer: "Excellent! Nice job. OMG, you guys, this reminds me of a story of my dog. OMG, I just have to tell you guys real quick. Kay, so..." (Tells ten minute story about dog).
I mean, the rest of us were happy to be getting paid to do nothing but listen, but if I had been that trainer's supervisor or manager I'd probably be upset to learn that the four hour training could have been taken care of in an hour. 😂😂
I recall this but I'm more familiar with a L. A. C. E report. Liquids, ammo, casualties, enemies... This may be more squad level talk...
ОтветитьWhy does the "too much detail" example sound like a Canadian? hahaha Even down to the weather. Edit: just got to the Alberta office part. Love to see we crazy snow people get mentioned
ОтветитьWould love to see a video from you on learning things (in an academic sense, for college f.e.). You always give great advice!
