The bird Cages on the Raya Lucaria Library are there to signify their Foeship with the Carian Royal Family who's family Crest is decorated by two cuckoos. They're also Defended by the Cuckoo knights.

I kinda want them to try playing the game or atleast learn about it lore-wise.

I find their comments incredible weird, but I could guess, without any form of effort, they are used to make these square shaped buildings that look like prisons, these dead, souless architecture modern buildings we see nowadays. I would consider them shallow minded architects, or 8 bits architects how we used to say, because any shape that has more bugs their mind.

The Egyptian obelisk represents ancient Egyptian history and the flaming obelisk in hallowhorn grounds connects us to an ancient spirit... I'm blown away once again...
Like nothing is there in this game for the purpose of being random... anything connected to the lore has a meaningful existence on its own... you know what , time to play the hell outta this game once more.....❤❤

Fun fact
The giant castle of Rya lucaria is supported by a huge pillar of crystal below ground , which we can visit later in the game ... Which completely blew me away ..seeing how everything the lands between has, is seemingly connected....Such a masterpiece of a game ..

For the Erdtree, is life and death. The broodmother and grim reaper, all life stems from the Erdtree's blessing and Erdtree burial was the only method of true death and a privilege only bestowed upon heroes of the Golden Order. Preceding the Elden Ring and the Erdtree, the Crucible of Primordial Life was mother and reaper. Humans that had a connection to the Crucible were birthed with feathers, scales and horns. It was considered a grand divinity, a blessing from the Crucible itself if you were born with these traits. Later, once the Golden Order was formed and the Erdtree was all-encompassing, vestiges of the Crucible were deemed as impure deformities and the affected were shunned and coined as Omenfolk.

During the Golden age of the Erdtree, a Lunar Princess is in the serfdom of the Two Fingers (Vassals of the Greater Will, a cause to find the next Elden Lord and in turn repair the Elden Ring and the Erdtree). Held captive and obedient to their order, fed up with all of it, she decided to steal a piece of the Rune of Death, which enables the senescence of Gods and by proxy, death. Lunar Princess Ranni, employs the prowess of the Numen assassins and imbued their daggers with the Rune of Death to kill a God so she can die in flesh and be free in soul (oh yeah, there's another lore mechanic regarding life in soul and life in body which will deem detrimental to the aftermath of Ranni's actions) so the Night of the Black Knives commenced, the assassins snook into the royal capital of Leyndell and murdered Godwyn, the son of Queen Marika. Ranni's body died when the Cursemark of Death was carved onto Godwyn's body and a consequence of that, the mark collapsed into two half wheels, Godwyn's soul perished and Ranni's soul was transferred into a marionette. Godwyn's body did not perish and remained, as it started to breakdown, he was buried in the Deeproot Depths under the Altus Plateau to be close to the roots of the Erdtree. This did not go to plan, as the Rune of Death mutated and deformed his corpse into a being coined 'The Prince of Death', the Rune of Death also began to spread through the roots of the Erdtree and formed the Deathroot, which hindered souls from reaching the Erdtree and birthed 'Those Who Live In Death', not to be confused with the player character. Tarnished are products of Queen Marika and their sole duty is to eradicate Great Rune bearers and repair the Elden Ring to become the Elden Lord.

The death of Godwyn lead to Marika destroying the Elden Ring and was subsequently imprisoned inside the Erdtree, this event is called The Shattering, her alter-self 'Radagon of the Golden Order' is the boss you encounter in the Erdtree, before the final boss of the game and the fate of the Elden Ring. Events after The Shattering eventually lead to the player character waking up and starting their journey.

That was pretty much the Erdtree lore with blinders on, there's a multitude of branching storylines that intersect with eachother at the Erdtree/Elden Ring, common goals and conflicts of interest, the path of the Frenzied Flame is the most treacherous in terms of the core purpose of the Tarnished. So much so, your kindling maiden, Melina will leave you.

I believe it was George R.R. Martin's creative endeavour to construct the ancient history of the Lands Between, so he would've created the Erdtree's conception, although it seems Miyazaki had some influence in this as, "Crucible of Life" is very similar to the Dark Souls' flame (of life).

i wish they'd comment more on some of the buildings in Leyndell, i wondered about the interiors of those buildings, especially the cluster of buildings that you hop on the roofs

Expectation: who would build that a castle on a hollowed out clift and why does it have a castle below it with another endless precipice?
The arquitects: game of thrones, ooo pretty, poetic interpretations, gothic on steroids

Is it me or were these all observations that a layman would be able to make? I would have expected them to comment on whether some of these constructions are impossible/possible in the real world. And maybe for this format to work, you need insight from architectural historians, not just architects.
