I think its not typhoon friendly
ОтветитьBreaking fantasies may hurt some idealistic snowflakes.
ОтветитьL o l, she at it a gain on truth. Truth hurts 😢 especially nowadays when we all wanna hear just nice thing but it shouldn't be in Engineering fields or science coz it can be a life saver literally.
Ответитьunless it is way cheaper, and it should not use a wood roof, then it is out and out greed as usual. Anyway...............People can't seem to act the best for all concerned. It's about making a killing, and guess what, killing people is out of integrity. Yah no thanks silly fake environmentally friendly housemaker. Pass
ОтветитьThe actual problem with 3D printing a house with concrete is that concrete requires reinforcements. Usually steel rebar. 3D house don't have any that I have ever seen. So all of these 3D printed homes fail to meet building code and are a major collapse hazard. So even if it was that cheap, would you want to live in your future tomb.
ОтветитьYeah, great points thank you, however let's be sure to keep in mind it is a burgeoning technology that gets a lot of attention and criticism. Clearly it's in its infantile, printing simple parts simply. The goal is eventual near-infinite design limitations, and also the ability to print or construct those designs more easily. The goal is eventual balance in that implementation, once efficiencies are worked out, as most tools and technologies try to get to. It will be interesting to see where it goes, and how long it takes.
ОтветитьJust use wood it's environmentally friendly. 😅
ОтветитьIn Germany there are over 2 million uninhabited homes. Still there are homeless people in Germany. The West has nothing to say anymore. It always has been shit and continues to be shit.
ОтветитьIt takes a female to point out the obvious....I often thought about the plumbing....When did that come into play? gotta flush you know...lol
ОтветитьYou raise some realistic questions - every system has a specific application where is may be useful but we do need humans - if we had robots that could make everything we consume , no one would have a job and that is by definition a failure - the market always has been a balance between productivity and consumption
ОтветитьWHAT ABOUT COLD WEATHER FREEZE THAW?
Doesn’t the concrete spall?
You had me at dirt in the grooves.
ОтветитьI want to se a 3d printed house without internal rebar beign tested on a earthquake testing platform.
ОтветитьHello Belinda, you are very knowledgeable. Are you an architect?
ОтветитьHow strong are thin multi layered unreinforced concrete?
Ответитьi wonder if it could handle 3d printing a pool
ОтветитьMyths blownup well done ma'am
Half-fermented info-videos by self-sytled experts r becoming chatecteristic hall mark of free Utube platform that's is up for the grab by one and all..
It won't be exegeration to say Utube accountability to truthfull information resource is absymally low as millions of its patronisers are just too eager to grab anything that's is thrown up FREE
IT HAS BECOME DEFACTO MECHANISM TO SPREAD MISINFORMATION AS GOVERMENTS HAVE NO CLUE HOW TO CONTROL THIS MEGA MUSHROOMING CLOUD as it has become impossible to search truth from colossal mountain of lies that's ever expanding like our limitless universe as Utube owners dollout cash for largest viewership counted by can I say mouse-clicks
SAD how good intentioned creations quickly fall to frenzy followings at rank and file level
A bunch of painfully obvious nonsense. Did you know windows can't be 3d printed? Did you know you can't build a house for $4,000? Mind numbing.
ОтветитьIt's not fun for little kids to play around and bang their heads on those hard walls. Interior space is safer if lined with drywall.
ОтветитьNone of these criticisms are material. I thought this would be a critique citing
defects in 3-D homes. As for sustainability these homes last much longer than traditional stick built, so that Hass to be factored into the calculation.
Hmm. 3dprinting buildings will of course have a role. But it is where it is hazardous for people to be. Like building underwater (tunnels) and reinforce mining tunnels. Also build on the Moon and Mars.
ОтветитьThe more construction industry develops, the more consumer has to pay for it. Claims of convenience of construction, if true, carries a hefty increase in cost. The more things 'improve', the costlier they become. Less is more as coined by Mies van der roy.
ОтветитьGreat video. Thanks for helping to clarify my view of the industry before thinking about investing.
ОтветитьHave you ever thought that the technology can be improved with time, this is technology and there is room for improvement.
All what you mentioned is applicable to all form of building a house.
i would absolutely love to see you in politics! Ethics, truth and realism isnt something that is looked at as powerful but my goodness did i appreciate your willingness to be the bad guy and expose the truth of possibilities and reality of this construction. With that willingness of being open and transparent, brings forth the opportunity for actual growth and prosperity toward a more sustainable future. Having the actual facts on the table, people can make a uniformed decision instead of being bombarded by issues or potential issues after already agreeing on starting on this journey! Thank you
ОтветитьIf only it could print seem free all one direction around from bottom to top
ОтветитьIt may look like toothpaste ???? hhhhmmm does it now
ОтветитьThanks for atleast bringing up some of the important points which are glossed over by the well funded and agendised cement industry
Ответить😂 early adapters pay for the privilege of being the genuine 🐖🐷 pigs
ОтветитьThe concrete is very thin and not reinforced. It cannot last. Not to say that an adapted form of 3D printing could not get around this but as it is now it is simply not sufficient for a house with a chance of some longevity.
ОтветитьRight to the point
ОтветитьLets see...she didn't mention that concrete homes last for 100's of years, has amazing thermal mass, better insulation, and can be made cheaper...oh and is a much safer house when it comes to fire risk, tornado risk, huricane risk etc. No method is perfect, but look at older countries and see which houses stand the test of time....there is no wood house that lasts anywhere near a concrete home or costs the owner less on a month-by-month basis.
ОтветитьHouses should be cheaper the end ppl shouldn’t have to lull themselves working for shelter
ОтветитьYou are a realistic buzzkill. I agree with you. The hype and associated listed truly diminish the potential and leave a negative aftertaste.
ОтветитьGreat video, thank you!
Ответитьi like the 🗺 on your wall
ОтветитьI'd love to hear your assessment of clay printed homes (with hemp or straw infill as insulation) to see if they are more viable by any of these 5 measures. Great info, thanks.
ОтветитьI predict it is a fad. This is more of a marketing novelty. There are a few insiders who have expressed the shortcomings, and there are many. There are currently many greener, smarter; overall better products that have been tried and tested.
Ответить3D printers are a precursor to AI building structures when it takes over.
ОтветитьI love this channel!
Ответитьvery well stated; thank you!
ОтветитьA very sober appraisal of the current state of 3D printing construction. I agree that this technology has great potential but as you point out we are not there yet. I very much doubt that at the end of the day 3D printed houses will be much cheaper than regular wood construction.
ОтветитьYou have a beautiful brain Belinda! 🔥
ОтветитьBelinda, I think you are amazing ! Your presentations are so thorough and well thought out. I feel smarter every time I watch one of your videos. Thanks Bill
ОтветитьBelinda, you're not a ballet choreographer, but you stay keeping us on our toes!! Thanks again for another insightful video
ОтветитьPrinting 3d habitats out of poop and regolith ON THE MOON or MARS probably and even then only probably makes more sense than other options, but on Earth? I am all for innovative housing and construction ideas, but I think the leap from 3D printed iphone cases to entire houses went a little quick even by Mario and Zelda standards.
ОтветитьThey also don't look very structurally sound. Concrete needs rebar frames internally even when bricks are being laid down. Rebar is an important component. Concrete alone is not good enough and arguably not safe.
Ответить3D printed homes are the future
ОтветитьExcellent, thorough and very informative. Thanks so much!!
