How to get the option to disable Turbo Boost
-Click Windows key and R to open registry.
-Follow These Paths In Order
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\54533251-82be-4824-96c1-47b60b740d00\be337238-0d82-4146-a960-4f3749d470c7
-Click on be337238-0d82-4146-a960-4f3749d470c7 and change the option under name "Attributes" from "1" to "0" If this does not work then change it to 2.

Disable Turbo Boost
Then do The Following in this order: 1) Open Advanced power option with "Win + R" and "powercfg.cpl" command 2) Find "Change plan settings" and "Change Advanced Power Settings" 3) In Power Options window find "Processor Power Management" 4) Under it find "Processor performance boost mode" 5) Put setting to "Disabled"

How This worked for my Ryzen 7 5800h RTX 3060 Acer Nitro 5 Laptop. (I used Klim Ultimate RGB Cooling pad and Nitro Sense to max my fan speeds.)

CPU Differences: Warhammer Darktide: before 91c, After 67c. Minecraft Bedrock: Before 87c, After 60c. God of War: Before 91c, After 71c.

Can undervolting laptop increases it's battery life

When i went to -0.05 it went from thermal throttling to power limit throttling. My temps were a mess 97-98 avg and thermal throttling was on. But with -0.05 it went to 87 avg with power limit throttling on.

Now do you do undervolt it plugged in or not?

I cant seem to get either of these applications running on my asus tuff dash f15 theres no uvp option in the bios so xtu wont even start and throttlestop has the unlock ajustable voltage greyed out, someone pls help

I undervolted my laptop but the performance decreased for some reason its now in 30s. Before the undervolt it was 60 and above but stutter after some secs anyone knows how to fix this.

hmm im struggling with my brand new laptop unsure if i should send it back.
I have a MSI GP 66 Leopard 3080 with the i7 11800h
I tried undervolting it peaking arround -0,65 but the temps dont get better at all , i could get like 200-300points higher in cinebench but thats it.
Im constantly throttling at 95°C. while the Turbo Boost.
I tried to undervolt my GPU aswell also almost nothing like 1-2°C less with like 250mhz less which isnt a real success either.
Whats your advice here?

Can i undervolt and get better performance on this cpu ?

My budget gaming laptop (RTX 3060 gpu, 16 gb ram, Comet Lake i7 processor) has just - within the last day or so - started crashing during heavy load during gaming. Never had a problem with this until now... Would this undervolting process possibly help with this issue? Or am I looking at some other problem? Just got the laptop last Christmas. MSI gf65 thin 10-ue, if it matters. Anyone feel free to chime in. Thanks!

hi i have a MSI GF75 Thin UE (i7 10750H Rtx 3060 ) What do you advice me to do about the undervolt value Because the thing is i undervolted my cpu using bios to -120mv nothing changed the cpu was still going up to 95C BUT AFTER 5 min Of Just using chrome it gave A BSOD

I noticed my laptop was hitting the 100°C mark wondering why since I've already undervolted and re-pasted it. I opened intel ETU and found out that I was adding 0.1V instead of reducing it lmao. Once changed the temperature literally went down to around 70-75°C (60-65 with cooler boost). Whoever is trying to undervolt their laptop, make sure you UNDERVOLT and not OVERVOLT like I did.

why is that most of the settings in the intel app is grayed out on me? im using i7 10th gen

If I'm trying to undervolt to cool the temps while gaming (Gets up to 96c!) should I be running the game while drop testing? It's not an issue when not gaming so I would imagine so correct?

Tried this using the HP Omen Gaming Hub which has a section for undervolting. Using the intelligent scanner it doesn't allow much above -0.05 mV offset. Playing with it manually I can get a stable -0.105 mV offset. Really does bring the temperatures down, not so much thermal throttling. Thanks for the video and advice.

Hello i need help with one thing i have i5 9300h and i can't undervolt in XTU, but if i enable turbo boost than i think I could undervolt in XTU. But i don't know if turning on the turbo is safe on the laptop.

My Omen 17 i7 10750h undervolted by -110. Overall noticed a drop in cpu temps by 10 to 15 degrees. Combined with a gpu overclock I gained an extra 12 fps on heaven benchmark on max settings. Also the fact my fans stop sounding like jet engines when just browsing Internet is also a plus.

is there anyway to undervold a hp envy with 11th gen it seems like it prevents xtu from installing and other software has the voltage menus blocked. I have installed windows fresh to get ris of all of HP bloatware which is a ridiculous amount but still no luck with xtu

Also I get power limit throttling that then cause my max core frequency to go down by aprox 0.23 Ghz
Its seem when i dont get thermal throttling I get a power throttle
But when power throttle switches off my temp shoots up and I get thermal throttling again

Whenever I try throttlestop it says "locked" on everywhere so I can't do anything
