Can we take a moment and appreciate how „garnet“ defined ... you know the garnets in your deck.
If you ever drew him. Yep a garnet
My archetype of choice
ОтветитьIt’s a same brilliant fusion is banned since that’s a huge blow to gem knights.
ОтветитьAnd now brilliant fusion is banned... Thanks verte anaconda
ОтветитьWasn't lapis the one who turns into Construct?
Ответить"Ruby can get up to 5900 ATK"
High king Alexander: Hehe boi
I've brought this deck back tbh. I was bored and tired of playing strictly meta so I thought why not combine this shit. I run gem knights with a pretty standard extra. 2 phantom quarts, 2 verte, a link spider, dragoon, rainbow neos and the rest is pretty standard like a brilliant D. Master D lapis lazuli, prisma, ruby etc. You'd be surprised how consistent it is. My brother runs zaborg and dogmatika decks so tossing my extra deck isn't gonna hurt due to quartz. Plus I really don't need neos or dragoon cuz if ya waste your resources it's over. The ability to link climb is insane with the deck so verte and quarts are nearly garunteed no matter what.
ОтветитьGarnet when you are so inexplicably linked to pissed off players because you drew it instead of the card you needed you become a generic verb
Ответить"Because it sounds awesome just try and fucking stop me." Greatest quote
ОтветитьApart from wanting their Gemini monsters to be reprinted as standard Effect monsters, I would
Also like to see some equip or perma-boost spells (by perma-boost I mean spells like that one Shark support card that adds 1000 ATK to any 1 water monster), that could have some cool gem for crystal relevant names like, “Flawless Cast” or “Gem Polisher”, but Konami probably won’t do anything nice like that.
Hello I like all your archtype archives keep up the good work
ОтветитьI hate the idea of FTKs as much as the next guy, but Gem Knight FTK always felt so cool to me for some reason. Even if the FTK fails, you still had a selection of aggro and removal options. Which always felt better than an all-or-nothing FTK that has no plan B.
The fact that Brilliant Fusion got banned legitimately frustrates me because I feel like the engine was healthy for the game. I wasn't the most competitive player back when Brilliant Fusion was at 3, but the Gem Knight FTK was a rogue deck that didn't have the resilience to break meta. And as far as the engine goes, it just gave decks a second normal summon, a Foolish for a light monster, and a fodder monster. It was incredibly versatile, but I wouldn't call it broken, and it made so many decks feel more consistent. To this day I truly feel like Konami just hit Brilliant Fusion to hit Thunder Dragon rather than hitting the problem cards.
anyone knows the name of the music running in the background ?
ОтветитьI actually do like the aqua with the bounce effect to use in longer combos to clear out threats or bait negation
ОтветитьCan you explain the "decent beater" phrase you keep throwing around?
I had a shitty equip warrior deck back in 2005 and when I tried to remake it in YGOPRO 2014 all I saw was people summoning a bunch of 2000+ monsters turn 1 and swarming the board.
Like, 1900 atk on a level 4 was considered good in the playground, but why keep mentioning lesser options than that as "viable beaters" since the game ends turn 1/2 these days?
One card I'd love to see in gem knights, as it is probably my favorite fusion archetype, is a monster that lets you search any "Gem-" card, including brilliant fusion, the traps and spells, etc, and if it is a normal monster, special summon it, but it cannot attack, and destroy it during your opponents end phase. Probably something like "Gem-Knight Spinel" or something.
ОтветитьIt's so weird hearing "Garnet" nowadays and it actually referring to a specific monster
ОтветитьAnd then adamancipators came and I cried tears of joy
ОтветитьThey should make a gem knight link monster that can banish a gem knight monster from your hand and inflict half its ATK to your opponent once per turn and maybe call it "Gem Knight Tigers eye"
ОтветитьI get it! It's based on gems or elements under pressure being turned into something else!
ОтветитьYou fool! You forgot about Prismaura being related to the Vylons thanks to Prism.
ОтветитьCongrats annoconda is basically a brilliant fusion on legs but with 3 garnets, pls fucking ban the snake leaf pls
ОтветитьNew support incoming
ОтветитьGod I fucking WISH geminis counted as normals in the hand. Faustian Bargain would become sick gemini tech
ОтветитьI pardon no puns, they bring me joy just as the name Toadally Awsome.
ОтветитьWith the new fusion card as well as rose diamond, I think some of this decks issues are being fixed
ОтветитьLime is the first and only player in DnD to roll a 0
ОтветитьDon't be fool indeed lapis resurrected into contruct
ОтветитьThis archetype’s lore is great
Everything changed when the fire nation attacked
Is it coincidence that Gem-Knight sounds kinda like Geminite?
ОтветитьI take the intro to try anime e hero style with this deck
ОтветитьNot gonna lie, half the reason I like Downerd Magician so much is in fact this very video's end skit XDXDXDXDXDXDXD
ОтветитьGem Knights not all being Rock type bothers me immensely.
ОтветитьWith Brilliant Fusion currently banned, this archetype is pretty useless now.
ОтветитьI still think the gem-knights are, pretty cool
ОтветитьGem-Knights could actually be good as a functional, non-FTK oriented archetype if they had decent disruption/negation/protection effects. Like, fuse a garnet and a sapphire to get a monster that can negate s/t once per turn and can’t be targeted or fuse a lapis and a tourmaline to get a monster that can blow up an opponent’s card on their turn and also can’t be destroyed by card effects. I really like the idea of Gem-Knights it’s just that their fusions need to be more on par with cards normally ran in the extra deck.
ОтветитьA group of gem based warriors, using fusion as a method to become more powerful...
I wonder who copied who.
i love in the gem-knight lore that gem-merchant was so bad he switched archetypes and became pikari @ignister
ОтветитьGosh, every time is see the part about gem enhancement, im just a tiny bit sad. Yes, mr is better, HOWEVER turn 3 lazuli.... kill lazuli, revive lazuli (since these effects are sequential, the same monster you tributed can also be the one you revive), repeat/ get master diamond
,
ОтветитьYou know guys im curious. What could you do to limit the lapis lazuli otk(im surpsied she hasnt been eratad or something and support gem knights.
ОтветитьEnd-Exalting Morganite is good for the beatdown variant. All you're losing out on is Brilliant Rose and Quartz's effects, which you can simply activate before, and a Master Diamond with Topaz's effects can OTK with so many attacks and double damage.
Ответитьit'd be nice if gemini monsters had effects that were actually worth spending two normal summons on...
ОтветитьI will never recover from the time I was playing magnet warriors against my friend who played gem knights, did the funny “special summon a bunch on the opponent’s turn” thing magnets can do, only to be bitch slapped right in the god damn face by a lapis lazuli doing SIX THOUSAND DAMAGE TO ME! Yes, every single monster zone was filled up including both EMZ slots (I had an adamancipator engine in my magnet warrior deck)
ОтветитьFun fact gem knight crystal fused so many times he died
ОтветитьYGOPro is about to be shortly populated by creatures attempting to do the FTK and quitting immediately after fucking it up
Ответить
