After months of hard work, I've transformed the steepest sections of my 4WD access road, making it possible to drive a 2WD vehicle all the way up to my remote mountain home. Weeks of moving dirt, ripping through rock, and battling tough terrain, the result is worth the effort.
With most of the road now at a manageable 5-8 degrees, it’s a huge improvement over the original 16-degree incline.
The Hitachi UH043 Excavator took on the heavy lifting, while the International TD9 followed up, smoothing out the rough spots.
The Fiat 55/66 towed the vibrating roller to compact the surface, and the David Brown with back blade cut the drainage ditches.
