Really I remember Delphox being the most hated starter in gen 6… and still is. Still as always very educational video.

My fav starter ,picked a male Delphox and was stronger than the Greninja and legendaries

I think gen 9 is helping out Delphox a whole lot. This pokemon now has access to nasty plot, alongside focus blast for some nice coverage overall. Terastilization also helps this pokemon a ton in regards to giving it a stab for certain coverage types like Fairy to help match up against dark types. While Delphox's Magician ability is still trash, I think you can find some utility in abusing knock off spam, which is very popular this generation. I don't see Delphox excelling in OU or VGC unfortunately, but I think it is definitely in a much better spot compared to gens prior and will remain a staple low-tier powerhouse. Definitely excited for HOME to come out so that I can finally be reunited with one of my favorite fire types.

The only fire/psychic Pokémon are Delphox and Victini, but the disparity is huge. Delphox can’t bulk or output power well and it’s abilities are bad.

Delphox is my favorite Pokémon due to my love of the kalos anime and Serena as a character and also the design in general, so Kieran mentioning Serena’s brought a smile to my face :)

Delphox could get Eerie Spell as an addition to its moveset, I think that'd make sense thematically and give it something else to do

Delphox and Chesnaut were really missing out compared to what Greninja got. Like seriously, we got Ash Greninja… What about Witching Hour Delphox with Magic Guard or Iron Will Chesnaut with Filter?

2 things I wanna say about Delphox.

Give some type of buff to her hidden ability Magician.

And have her 3d model the one that's in Unite. I love how the flame is always active on her stick

Ah Delphox, first pokemon I had when I first played X and when I went back to X a year ago I played through it again with Delphox, good times

It's kinda sad that it wasn't in the galar dex because early on in SS fire/psychic coverage was literally the best in the game, with cinderace's non stab zen headbutt being enough to make it a wall breaker, so imagine what Delphox could've done. Then again, it would probably had brought Greninja together with it so OU would be completely changed

i watched this. kinda nice to see some people relising its serena in 105. i keep hearing people say no its not her the person just happens to be called the same. ehm what. same team looks the same. the only thing that would defend there claim is diffrent outfit and diffrent evolutionary stage of a pokemon. but those doesnt make sence. may came back with new outfit and 3 new evolution beeing: glaceon, venasaur and wartortle. and then you even have iris. yea no that defence doesnt hold up XD

Delphox is bar none my favourite starter. It’s as versatile as the Wizards that inspired it; and I couldn’t be happier. Hoping it comes back in Gen 9!

Yeah this Pokemon got so much hate. The true reason I see to not like Delphox is it's design (because of opinion. I actually love it's design) but other than that. I don't get why people said it sucked.
