In this episode of Pickleball Diary I explain why I think pickleball is so popular. I think pickleball is so popular because basically anyone can show someone else how to play. It doesn't take years of lessons just to play this game, someone can play and have fun within 15 minutes of getting to a pickleball court. The friendly people of pickleball will show them how to play. If the barrier of entry into this game was going through the ivory towers of the elite tennis world then this sport would not be as popular as it is today. Thanks for watching. How to play pickleball. What is pickleball? Instruction, strategies, tips & tricks for the pickleball novice to tournament player. I, Coach David, am a Pure Blood Pickleball player (PBPP). Which means I was not a tennis, racquetball or ping pong player prior to learning pickleball. I try and seek out the best trainers and knowledge I can find and incorporate it into my game. I have been a professional golfer, a semi-professional baseball player and am an expert in self defense and sell a dvd and online program demonstrating that knowledge (see at SelfDefenseMadeRealEasy.com). But my newest passion is pickleball, and I plan on being a top player. Therefore, I will learn from anyone willing to share knowledge. Thanks for watching. I hope this helps you in your pickleball journey. Please subscribe, like, comment & share. I plan on posting many pickleball related videos including gear reviews, instructional videos and more. My home turf is Lake Havasu City, AZ. You can contact me at pickleballmadeeasy @ gmail.com (no spaces).

Right on David. There are people who thinks their livlihood is threatened by your free instruction. Point 1 - they're wrong, because you are making the pie bigger. Point 2 - even if they were right, that wouldn't negate your free lessons being anything other than a service to the ordinary player.

Hear!Hear! Bro. Got same crap from Villages . Told  me until I completed their training could not instruct so have taken my drill group underground Reserve court time under someone elses name. Called BELIEVE PICKLEBALL(.ORG) we wear the shirts an ostensibly looks like a church group. Have  24 signed up every Sunday and a waiting list. Have 2 other "uncertified " coaches helping me.

That is how almost everybody learns the basics. I've never even met anybody that's taken lessons from a pro.

Of course, they are just fearful you will enjoy more popularity and siphon off some revenue. There’s plenty of action to spread around everyone who wants to help advance the great game of Pickleball. We’ve only played a year and a half, have learned a bit from just about everyone we’ve played with. But, I do like watching your videos, I can see points develop and generally see some Dos and Don’ts in a save environment. Keep up the generous work.
