ОтветитьBest song of the 70s
ОтветитьPERFECT! !!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьA terribly 'old' thing to say, but they just don't write songs like this today.
ОтветитьIs this a mimed performance #? 1 giveaway is that the sax player is using a tenor whereas the recording uses an alto. The strings are nowhere to be seen. None of the guitars are plugged in and most of all, the sound matches the studio release PERFECTLY - which is simply impossible live

I just hated the days gone down when you wanted to see your favorite artists playing live on these platforms only to see it was all lip syncing. I think this is why he hated the business. Couldn’t wait till Saturday nights when The Midnight Special would come on to actually see live performances. Thanks for the music Gerry! Big part of my growing up.

ОтветитьI bought the City to City LP the first day Baker Street hit the market in '78. My roommate bought the tape. We played both night and day until we wore literally wore them out. I still have the second LP to this day, the CD, and on USB so i can play it in my 66 GTO's updated radio. It's great going down the highway blaring with the windows down. Always thumbs up from everyone..... it's the only song I do that with. Keep playing up there Gerry... we miss you and your music.
ОтветитьI am in my dotage now but still just love this music, holds lots of memories x
