This is the Single Best Mod for Valheim & Changes the Game Forever.

If anybody is wondering why the Njord link isn't working on Nexus anymore it's because I moved the files and hid the page to try and shift focus to my new ship build. You can still find the Njord under "old files" on the Havulv Nexus page but I'll just say the Njord is pretty outdated at this point and uses the old valheimRAFT pieces. The Havulv is overall less build pieces and a much more streamlined designed and uses the new sails and ropes so I'd recommend it over the Njord. I'll still thank Jelly for the feature though! Love the cinematic showcase!

What's stopping a Sea serpent from eating the base...or if you have other mods on..the kraken from MonsterLabZ?

Would be cooler if the seas in Valheim wouldn't stones everywhere

only issue with no map is that you loose the wind direction arrow and can no longer tell wind direction. I can tell you right now the only way having a map would help with wind direction is if you let it go and watched it blow away... winds going that way.

How does this work w/ocean water, and rain? The rain will ruin wooden structures pretty badly. How do you get to the raft to repair it, since it constantly takes dmg from hitting rough waves.

Beds don't work on the boat tho

Valhiem is the most underrated game i have ever seen and played its literally 1 GB but if feels like a 40gb game

What type of fps are we looking at on the open seas with all the crafting stuff and designs loading in at the same time ? I know bigger builds can make for shit performance

In my himbe opinion i think the sailing mechanics are great. But they really need to allow players to build either on ships. Or customize ships. Or make other versions of ships. Like war ships. Or merchant ships with massive cargo holds that id get destr just float in the ocean to be stolen by other players or too allow players to attmpt rescue. Making a 1000 small trips to get resources sucks when u could take a 100 trips on larger ships

If the raft is destroyed, does your entire build/base just crumble? That initial raft / base build floor should be invulnerable.

As much as I like the idea of being able to build your house boat, part of the draw for me is building cities. I’d like bots but I probably wouldn’t only live on my boat. Plus how do you repair it when you hit a rock?

Theres also other ossues with using this mod unfortunately, accidentally triggering raids on the ocean theyll never end unless you go back and you dont wver get raids again, practically most of the fun is raids.

How stable is the base of the raft? will it get destroyed easily by serpents?

I wonder: If a sea serpent wrecks the raft, does it all crash down into the sea?

The devs didn't want to allow ores to teleport as they thought it would take away from the sailing aspect.

IMO, this mod is how you actually get people to actually want to sail. The vanilla boats and sailing mechanics are fun, dont get me wrong. But once you have done it a few times, it eventually just becomes the same thing over and over. A mod like this can make sailing a unique adventure every time!

i don't care that a viking man'o'war doesn't exactly fit this game's theme but broadsiding krakens and bosses sounds way too cool

so uh, is it as slow as the raft? that thing takes forever to get you anywhere. i mean its cool even then, but without a crew to keep you entertained i cant imagine crawling the whole map at 1/2 walking speed.

While I appreciate this sort of mod for other games I don't feel that it really works for the Viking aesthetic in this one. I would however like to see customisation of the current in game ships.
