Tricker's Stow Country Boot in Espresso - Size 9 on the 4479S Last - Thoughts and Questions

Good Sound sizing advice..
I have Trickers Stow 8.5 & 9 as my feet can swell half a size..
Tricker's Bourton Last 4444 are very generous 8.5 std fitting 5 is a great for when my feet swell a bit..thicker sock then for winter..
But yes Stow boot runs true to size..
Got several of these boots & shoe version..Brogues are 'COOL'

Just got my chestnut Stows last month from Trickers. Brilliant shoes and built like tanks. Hoping to break them in fast and enjoy years of enjoyment on them. Mine is also on the dainite soles.

Recently received a pair of Trickers Stow Boots in C Shade in 6.5 UK. My US size for most boots is 7.5. These fit perfectly. They required no break in. I only wish Trickers provided a more detailed explanation of their leather like Viberg does.

Nice review! I just my acorn stows in Monday, the break in hasn’t been bad, but the calfskin is a pain right above the ankle. I can’t wait for the leather to soften some

I have a pair of Stows in acorn. They were comfortable right from the start. They are a haft size to big as I'm a 12.5 so got the 13, Trickers didn't have a 12.5 in stock. I wear wool hiking sox's in all my boots so the 13 feels good.

I have them in commando sole great looking boot. My neighbour works for trickers and advised I went a half size up as I have very wide feet as well as the wide fit. Not going to lie I had a fair bit of breaking in to do with them but ok now. Having Said that my sister who works for Grensons got me some boots and they fitted straight from the box like they were moulded to them.

Quality and craftsmanship cost £££ Trickers is right in the top echelon of both (not including crazy priced bespoke made from John Lobb and others who cater for the very wealthy )
always buy THE best quality shoes and boots you can- don't compromise . Those that say they can't afford Trickers prices I say think of how many high street fashion orientated shoes costing between £50 - £100 you buy over a period of say 10 years ? hold off ,save up and buy something like Trickers or Cheaneys (my personal favourite ) . Three reasons 1. the styles are classic they NEVER date , 2. the quality is epic look after them they can last decades with care and resoling , 3. they actually look better as they age .
Don't be cheap for your feet it really does make all the difference when you buy something like Trickers , Joseph Cheaney , Sanders and Sanders , Crockett and Jones or Grenson but only the completely made in Britain range from some of those makers who do outsource to India Etc for some of their offerings so check carefully .

These are great boots. They fit small in my opinion. Compared to my Alden Indy's they fit a full size smaller. I'm a US 10.5D in Indy's and a UK10.5 in the Stows which equals a US 11.5D, so a full size smaller for me

How many boots/shoes does the average guy go through nowadays that cost £40-70? wear them maybe two years and throw them away. The value proposition Trickers represent[esp if you find them on sale or second hand barely worn] is pretty incredible. They're £565 RRP now which has jumped but take care of them and you'll have them forever. Boot trees are recommended. My advice if you want a pair, figure out which ones then wait for a sale and be quick!

Can I use this as dressing shoes ?

I contacted Tricker’s for sizing. I wear a 13 D US. They suggested size 12 for their boots.

it’s a year since this was posted, how are you finding them now? Much wear? Broken in nicely?

Love this. Your idea of gettting something in a darker color is a good idea. Theres no way you are keeping those light brown ones clean...

My Stow Country (Gold MC dainite) just arrived today, theyre beautiful. Im a US 8.5 and the 7.5 UK was a perfect fit. Straight laced and ready to break in.

My advice to any one considering a pair they are country boots, not dress shoes so size accordingly. I go up half a size on my dress shoe size and wear with thick socks. Stows worn snug are very very uncomfortable.

This might be a nearly impossible request, but I need to try. Is it possible to resize shoes? I found these awesome, impossible to find, Prada high heel sandals size 38.5. Problem is my size is 36. Would it be possible to have them resized to fit me?😬

I have these in the dark brown suede. Love them but I had issues with the size. I'm a brannock 12, but I wouldn't go lower than 11.5 uk in this last again. Fault of my flipper feet though, not the last. Some boots I just need a half size bigger than the recommended sizing.
