Bengal is cultural, geographical region which was once one! Now it's deviated into two countries, India and Bangladesh. The Britishers were actually colonizing the subcontinent including that time Bengal and mordern Bangladesh and Eastern India, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Afghanistan and that time India or Mordern day India and Pakistan. Before the Britishers left, the did the partition of India and Bengal. The Muslims majority region of North India and bengal became pakistan later pakistan and independent Bangladesh and West Bengal became a part of independent mordern India. Now the western part of Bengal is West Bengal which is now a part of India and East Bengal is now independent Bangladesh. So anything cultural from Both West Bengal and Bangladesh is Bengali. So the word "Bengal" is "Bangla" in the Bengali language, the mother tongue of bengalis (natives of the Bengal region) and the state language of Bangladesh. The word "Bangla" is literally in the countries name, "desh" means country in Bengali. So "Bangladesh" basically means "country of Bengal" or "country of Bengalis". Hope it clears it out 😊

The Bulbuli song was written and composed by our national poet "Kazi Nazrul Islam". He fought in the 2nd world war and was posted in the middle east. That era had a big influence on his compositions. After returning from the war, he composed some music influenced by Arabic and north African music. Don't know exactly how he was influenced by Spanish music, but sure he was. Though he mostly composed music based on Indian Ragas, he surely did some experiment.
