Boring mazda as usual
ОтветитьWife here. Looking for a No CVT vehicle . I’m quite short anyone out there input on visually driving . Looking at 2023 base Cx5 or Cx30 want small and cheaper . No turbo . Thanks
ОтветитьMazda is in desperate need of changing the design of that SUV. Mazda is working to be the next Mitsubishi.
ОтветитьAre they both gay? Or metro sexuals.
ОтветитьThat startup chime is annoying as heck
ОтветитьAs a mechanic never buy the turbo version of any car
ОтветитьJust rented this exact model/color for a mini vacation. This was a great ride, and comfort level was indeed nice.
Ответитьlooks great, but how does a $40k vehicle not have parking sensors... blows my mind
ОтветитьGlad I got a '23 for the nicer front grille and avoided the price increase.
Ответитьhow are they measuring 39.6 inches of rear legroom? there's no way that is more than 35-36. A honda civic has more rear legroom and they only claim around 38 inches
ОтветитьMade in Japan means a lot.
ОтветитьI've owned three CX-5's. A 2017 Touring, a 2019 GT and a 2022 Signature. Just a few things I didn't really like about them.
1. stiff ride. Got much stiffer after the 2017.
2. fuel economy with the turbo. If you do a lot of HW driving not a problem. If you do mostly city driving it's fairly hard on gas.
3. front seats have to move way up if the rear seats are down and flat.
4. the USB ports are inside the center console.
5. the engine shuts off when remote start (Mazda App) is used when the door is opened...even if you have the fob on you.
6. the rear wiper seemed weak on all 3 I owned.
7. the rear USB ports and the heated seat buttons are in the rear console, so having a 3rd person sitting in the rear makes those impossible to use.
8. the paint was thin and fragile (2019 was a soul crystal red).
9. the NA engine would perform much better with an 8 speed transmission.
10. the seats in the 2019 and 2022 were somewhat hard and uncomfortable for longer trips.
11. Bose system doesn't sound that great. Had a 2021 Acura RDX ELS system that was light years better.
12. 2022 head unit would reboot often while driving.
This was just my personal experience with owning three of them. That said, I really liked all three. All three were reliable. I'm waiting for the CX-70 and will most likely buy another Mazda soon. No car is perfect.
is there any difference between the 2023 and 2024 i-stop? i've read it's harder to disable on the 2024, i.e. you have to start the car and manually disable it each time. can someone explain the differences if any between the 23 and 24?
ОтветитьAlways advised not to purchase turbo anything. Trouble when vehicle ages. Advice?
ОтветитьThis was a very intelligent review of this fine vehicle. Thank goodness they didn't do the barbaric 0-60 as if that is a reflection of fever vehicles quality. Dodge Charger will go fast zero to sixty, point made. The sound test while at higher speeds was a smart review tool and something I don't see with other review channels.
ОтветитьIs it just me? Why the front turning lights are not at the corner?!
ОтветитьThey couldn't let that damn chrome go 😢
Ответитьok. am lost and confused now!!! i thought Mazda change the names for their SUV with adding 0 to the name.. but now i see the previuse models still the same name..!!!!
so the question is: what the difference between them!!??
and what their paln with the new models with the 0 in the name!!?? 🤔
Just got a 2024 mazda cx5, my only complaint so far is the car honks when I lock/unlock. Once when I lock, and twice when I unlock. I can't figure out how to stop it, checked the manual checked online. The cx5 also beeps when I lock and unlock so I see no reason why I can't turn off the honk.
ОтветитьI'm not a fan of the change to the grille. Looks not nearly as nice as the prior couple years.
ОтветитьAnyone know if this is Mazdas version of the FORD Edge?
ОтветитьGhost touchscreen….
ОтветитьJust ordered this. Can't wait to pick it up in a month :)
Ответить@CarConfections - Mazda dealerships are saying that the Touch Screen is ONLY for the CX50 - Not the CX5. Is this True?
ОтветитьHave they moved the timing chain? Nope
ОтветитьCan't wait for info on the new CX70 guy's
ОтветитьPet peave is that the volume knob is not an on/off switch for the radio. Pushing it diwn only mutes the radio, so the next time you start the car, the radio comes blaring on. Pushing and holding the button turns the entire infotainment system off - you don't even get the clock!
I shouldn't have to go 4 clicks deep just to turn the radio off. Can't get used to just turning the volume down. Very annoying!
I can't believe that Mazda has not made a single body-style change since this model was introduced in 2017. They have changed only the front and rear lights, but that's not significant enough...not a big deal. That's EIGHT YEARS with the same exact body....not even any changes in the interior either! I had a 2017 and then got a 2021. When that lease ended this year I switched to a different car make because I got bored with the same thing after six years. I thought maybe they would make some styling changes for 2024, but I was wrong. I don't know of any other car company that keeps the same exact body for its cars for eight years! I don't know....maybe Mazda is too cheap to make any changes. 😕
ОтветитьUp here in Canada the cx5 GT trim can be chosen with either the NA 2.5 and the 2.5 turbo and the trim comes with ventilated seats, leather and all the good bits. Eventually I might replace my 2016 cx5 with a new cx5.
ОтветитьI just traded my 2018 CX-5 Grand Touring for a 2023 Carbon Edition. Love my Mazda. It's great that Sky-active AWD is standard now, works well with G-vectoring for a fun drive. Wish I had the budget for a turbo trim.
ОтветитьMi like it... 👍 🇯🇲
Ответитьew touch screen is THE WORST.
ОтветитьI have a 2017 model and the I-stop system still annoys me. Once the car is running and the system is disabled I do not turn off the engine even for a fuel stop achieving the opposite of what it was intended to do.
ОтветитьI'm an enthusiast. I race SUVs on the weekends
ОтветитьThey need to update the interior smh
ОтветитьI only SELECTIVELY SUBSCRIBE and make my subscriptions carefully!
…That Said : As SOON as you said you Both have been reviewing cars since 12 YEARS OLD, I was SOLD !!
-Much Love, From :
…TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA 🇨🇦 !!!!
Still not a fan of their tech screen, still looks like an afterthought
ОтветитьI’m surprised they haven’t discontinued it given the CX-50s arrival. It’s been out now for 7yrs which should be the end of the model run.
ОтветитьWill wait for cx70 with inline 6. I just cant go back to turbo 4 after vw tiguan experience
ОтветитьHey guy comparing the Acura Rdx AWD A-spec to the Mazda cx5 or cx50 Turbo driving dynamics which vehicles you choose personally please respond i am looking forward for your answer thanks keep 👍 up the good work brother's.
ОтветитьI know that "if it aint broke dont fix it" but for a 2024 to still have a 6spd auto is kinda ridiculous.
ОтветитьThe only thing I hate about Mazdas is their lack of a bigger, touchscreen infotainment centers 😡 I’m used to touching the screen not a trackpad like a MacBook 😡
ОтветитьIt would be cool if they made the armrest slide forward. Like in toyota corolla.
Ответитьturbo, no good for anyone.
ОтветитьUnfortunately, like other manufacturers they are making the cars more expensive. No base model anymore. The changes are minor and cosmetic (new Carbon turbo trim level, really?) the touchscreen "enhancement" is adding touchscreen capabilities with Apple and Android, which any manufacturer but Mazda has had for years. Last year for the current gen, Mazda announced next year all new CX-5.
ОтветитьWhat is the ground clearance?
ОтветитьIs the lane keep assist improved?
ОтветитьThey need to move the cupholders
