Vanilla Shamans are very powerful for PVP early game when they're about Level 10+, I remember back in 2005 when I started a Warrior and my friend started a Shaman, I could never win him in PVP duels no matter what skill I used, because Shaman's bursts did so much damage and my Warrior could only hit him a few times before being bursted down, even though we both had similar starting equipment. After reaching Level 20+ then I stood a chance against him, at that time he had the spirit wolf form and could even travel faster.

Platinum WoW No Shaman used Flametougne. No one. They used Frostbrand until Windfury was available. An they did this leveling with 2 handers most of the time. They only time they put on a shield is when we had adds.

Im currently leveling a shaman in vanilla, Im lvl 31 enhancement and let me tell you, I never played a most boring class ever, you have 4 or 5 spells that can deal dmg (if you not counting fire totems) 3 of them are on the same cooldown and the rest of your abilities are totems, and half of them are use 1 or 2 times per months, so really all you do is auto attacking hoping for a windfurry proc and you use shocks sometimes but not too much or you go oom after 1 or 2 mobs, wtf is this. Im gonna try elem but I dont have much hope.

If og wow is Vanilla. Then that makes TBC Chocolate cuz it had all the flava.

Yeah, all those totems....I bind them all. C1-C12, S1-S12. Gawd...I can't wait for my spacegoats, I wanted to join classic, but...no shamans on alliance yet. Play another class? Meh...tried, shaman main for life.

The Paladin video is just a 30 years old guy sitting in a corner crying for 20 minutes.

I love Shaman, esp Enhancement. WF/earth shock/grounding and PURGE ftw. You are a great anti caster class with some good distruptive abilities to interrupt and purge magic buffs from enemy players.

Also... I hate this mentality I see in some of these vanilla wow videos where X class (dps hybrids like enh/ele sham, ret, dps druid, ect) "won't be taken to raids". It is total horseshit. No one thought with that mentality back in actual vanilla, and raids are designed with 40 players and only about half actually needing to do things right with high dmg or whatever.... u totally can bring hybrid specs along with the typical setup and some stacked mage/rogue/warr dps and do just fine. People actually know how to play better this time around, and raids are much easier because of that so mechanics are easier to handle, people can gear or play their classes better. Everyone acts like they are some min/max top 5% player/raid when reality is that most are not and shouldn't adopt that mentality... have fun, play the class/spec u enjoy... cause its how u will be playing the majority of the game. I can't wait for BC to come out tho... was much better then vanilla and they improved on gameplay and class balance alot in BC.

I was a main resto shammy back in Wotlk and always looked down on shamans who would spam chain heal, that's a surefire way of running oom fast.

Not to mention you can farsight in farsight and make your range double the farsight again and pretty soon you're watching people in orgrimmar while standing in thunderbluff

Trying to craft/buy your own Nightfall to hopefully get into a guild as enhancement is kind of a pipe dream, it is highly unlikely to happen. The materials for this weapon are very rarely for sale, it's the kind of mats guilds horde (ha) to benefit people in the guild to make it as a whole stronger, including to make the axe themselves! Even if you are in a guild that can gather the mats and make the axe, far more likely it will go to a Warrior to actually use the axe for decent DPS while still applying the debuff. Unless the stars align in your favor, you're gonna be stuck as a totem-dropping heal bot.

I actually prefer the 5/32/14 spec for dungeons and leveling. When pvp starts officially i will switch to 19/32/0.

I loved being an elemental shaman in vanilla PvP. Blasting groups with EM Chain Lightning, dropping Grounding Totem to absorb POM/Pyroblast, Earth Shock interrupts, purging anything and everything of their buffs. And as a Tauren if things got too crazy I could War Stomp/Ghost Wolf and beat a hasty retreat. I did high level raiding in BC and Cata, but for my money it never got better than group PVP in vanilla

You didn't even mention enchantment tanking. There are some guides out there that says they can be good off tanks even in Naxx, it's just that it's literally the most difficult to play.
