With the growing interest in the stock market by new investors, the frenzy has created a new type of stock: the meme stock. Meme stocks don’t mean that the internet’s favorite meme from that week is now trading on the stock market. Rather, stocks for companies themselves have gone viral online, causing investors to purchase them just for the meme.

Is it a good time to buy stocks right now? How long will it take for us to recover? I know everyone claims that equities are now inexpensive. Although there are tactics to be applied in this market, the common person cannot access these strategies. Would I be better off investing my money somewhere else?

Ignore the investing circus, invest in VTI and BND, 60/40 split would suffice for most people. Older folks may want to go a bit more conservative, perhaps a 50/50 stocks and bonds allocation. For those old enough to collect social security and have a decent size portfolio, you should be able to retire comfortably. Look for discount vacations during off season, shop at Costco and buy your gas there. Take your lovely wife out for romantic dinners now and then.

It’s essentially what hedge funds do when they buy millions of shares, thus driving up the price. Or vice versa, when they dump millions of stock. Ordinary people don’t have billions of dollars to buy millions of shares. However, if we all(ordinary people) come together and buy a stock, the result is a meme stock

Meme stock is the safest play in the market. As long as you don’t fomo in. Buy at fundamental values when shorts over shorting it. For example AMC get manually shorted down to $10, everyone can see the price movement is unnatural, low volume shorting. Now it is below its fundamental value once again, buy in would be much better investment than S&P 500 and blue chips right now

I don't know how you guys can take the stock market seriously when there are meme stocks. I mean most of the time a company's value is based on their product their overall history and how their seen by the public and none of those factors have anything to do with meme stocks. Essentially it transforms the stock market into what it always has been a Casino.

The mother of all Short Squeezes ( $AMC ) The Father ( $GME ) And the Son ( $SDC). SDC’s sudden drop in CTB means that huge short is turning bullish and started to cover. Only a matter of time for that chain reaction to occur. AMC prior to June 2nd also had that sharp drop in CTB

A "meme" stock is what I like to prefer to as "congregation stock." It differs because the stock is not invested through individuality but rather a social/cultural movement. Large fund market manipulation on the other side can find it harder to influence the market psychology through pullbacks

Many of the traders today fail especially the newbies, because they give up easy, it takes time and lots of experience to become a profitable trader, An alternative is seek guidance from some pro traders.
