i loved this series please do more like it and though the direction you chose to take it was written well i would've loved to have seen a more drastic change to the plot instead of simply being a b plot other than minor changes to the way sasuke was raised also i would like a little more clarity on when and how she was impregnated do ero novel type details but the way it is portrayed leaves me to think that she was "assaulted" while in genjutsu which in your defense if it is what you implied she either didn't think about it or didn't care

I’ll be honest with you, if Itachi spared Izumi I believe he would have changed his mind about having a death battle with his brother. I think having a life line with the village would have thwarted Obito’s plans.

There’s obviously a whole bunch of things that someone could poke a whole in the story but the only one I think that I can think of is after itachis death and danzos death. I could see Danzo try to kill Izumi

Kishimoto already created a manga for Minato and Kushina. Itachi was the second most voted. We have a chance to make this happen, and we saw how well he can write a long story. For reminder, in his canon novel he wrote the following already and has a solid baseline.

With that you know the rest. Itachi never again developed romantic feelings for another person in memory of Izumi. She was his first and last. I do hope they end up together in an alternate universe.
