I don’t know if it was added later, or if it’s only on console/Xbox exclusive, but as I’ve been playing the game recently on Gamepass, I’ve encountered several Black Tipped Reef Sharks that are hostile and attack me. They return the same resource yield as all of the other sharks besides the Whale Shark and Great White.

Fun fact if you kill a Marlin the raw meat does not spoil from them it last forever raw

Ive dealt with the tiger shark on xbox but ran back to shore finally killed my first shark the other day the only one i always see and keeps bothering me is the black reef shark finally killed him but i got another one now

So if you have small boars theres always going to be Hogs?

If u have bandages and if ur phisycal skill is high its best to fight the sharks in the water. Thats how I get all the sharks, even the great white and the meg.

Ok this vid is like 1 year old but when I was sailing I saw a shark bigger then a great white it was a Meg and it wasn’t at a spawn point it was the size of 2 Lusakas and I couldn’t find it sunce

Played the game for the first time today.
On day 2 I wanted to visit another Island and halfway there my raft got flipped.

I was a bit confused and climped back onto the flipped raft and very quickly realised what cause it to flip... I had barely any weapons except for 1 spear. So the Shark just kept flipping my raft, I went back on it, rowed for a few Inches, repeat.

Most teriffing experience honestly.

Hey you missed the black tipped reef shark i think i killed 4 but it is a bit bigger then a reef shark and acts like a tiger shark.

Iv just killed my first ever shark

In my game the snake became a stick like object as it was stiff and couldn't be changed from its position after killed

ran into a great white on my second day trying to get to another island on my life boat. i ended up having to reset because of my fear of sharks lol i was stuck in the middle of the water with my raft flipped over

I think you underestimate the importance of seagulls and bats. First seagulls aren't near as hard to kill as you make out just get them when they land on cliffs, but the importance of seagulls and bats is you can safely kill them early game, not only for a source of food but it helps you safely build up your hunting stat which makes dealing with other animals much easier.

why tf is almost every shark (even ones that never attacked a human) aggresive?

It's crazy they put discus and archer fishes when everybody knows those are freshwater fishes lmao it takes me out of the game everytime

I have been playing Stranded Deep for about a week now. I have both Thalassaphobia, and Cetaphobia, so it terrifies me a LOT! But it's honestly a fun game. Underrated channel too.

I figured out the "sit and stand still" snake strat when me and my boyfriend first started playing together. He however, has stuck with the "run straight into snakes area like a maniac" strat and Will. Not. Stop. Getting. Poisoned. This man.

I like that some passive creatures cannot be killed reason being Im pretty sure all of them besides the stingray are endangered (some stingrays are threatened) I like when games do that but I do feel the whale shark should be on that list

Random question, why are goblin sharks in the sunlight zone? Did the devs just think they were cool and wanted to add them? They’re deep water sharks

The game does have a few exceptions the big grouper is actually called a goliath grouper and garden sharks do not surface they are normally depths of around 3000 to 2000 feet below the ocean there’s only a few recorded videos and pictures are incredibly rare species
