What city is your shop located in?
ОтветитьThank you once again for a fantastic video. Something very basic can always fail. Keep up the good work and the good videos!
ОтветитьTRUMP 2020
ОтветитьI installed new Toyota tensioner and oring but it still leaks slightly. What's the trick to this repair?
ОтветитьPeter, I had the same minor issue on my 2005 1ZZ-FE engine when it was around 13 years old.
Ответить“I’m doing my best” ....... and there is no doubting that Peter. Be well, friend!
Ответитьcan you make a video of how to change this ?
ОтветитьGreat video! Would love to see how to change out the control arm on the driver side (Need to do this on 2008 Scion XB). It seems one of the bolts doesn't clear due to the transmission oil pan.
Thank you!
Both my Corollas had oil leaks coming from the main bearing seal, expensive labor to replace a $15 gasket.
ОтветитьYou might also want to tell the owner that they need new tires.
ОтветитьGreat video. It’s nice to see common Toyota issues and where they’re located at. But it would be nice to see the repair being done as well.
ОтветитьUp north here tiny oil leak can stop the bottom of the car from rusting from the salt on the road stay well my friend
ОтветитьI need a driver side inner tie rod end video thank you stay safe
ОтветитьThanks for sharing this video, great information provided. Nice job.
ОтветитьNice video! I just changed my timing chain tensioner 2 weeks ago on my 08 Corolla CE with your video as reference. Thank you
ОтветитьGood video
ОтветитьNot showing many repairs lately
ОтветитьOk good
ОтветитьAlways enjoy your vids
ОтветитьHi Peter. Thank you for posting. Very helpful and informative. Rock on !
ОтветитьShow us you fixing it !
ОтветитьHello from Tennessee, will a check engine light go on for low power steering fluid? 98 Toyota tacoma in great condition. Thanks
ОтветитьPeter THANKS SO MUCH! I've just bought my Mrs. the older model than this,,,,, but it may be the same> Let me go check > RIGHT NOW><>>>> thanks so much for this INFO!!!!!
ОтветитьHi Peter, will you make a video on how to change that part. (Timing chain tensioner). Thank you for all the great videos
ОтветитьYeah - more Corolla action?
👍
That one looks easy compared to the Camry 2.4 2AZ engine. That tensioner is crammed in the back because the engine mounting is tilted.
ОтветитьYou have made consistently the best mechanics videos I've seen on YT. Well done.
ОтветитьHow much is the fix for this including labour? I have the exact same issue on my Japanese model 1ZR-FE corolla.
ОтветитьI swear your intro brings joy to my soul every single time .
ОтветитьSo what about that "great Toyota quality" if that leak is typical? Seems to me there is really nothing "quality" about it. Or is any defect on a Toyota a sign of "quality", whereas any other make's defect is a sign of lack thereof?
ОтветитьWow....I JUST saw the exact same leak on my sister-in-law’s 2010 Corolla (same trim level and color, too...weird).
Also!..Thanks for keeping your videos short when possible and not stretching them out to 10 min for no reason!
Once again we see the diagnosis, but not the cure ! ☹
ОтветитьBerry interrrestink but shtoopid. But it works! Keep em coming friend!
ОтветитьCar safety inspector near me said I needed new power steering pump. Flat out lie. Leak was clearly from tensioner.
ОтветитьDo you see these two nuts? Lol. I couldn't help but laugh.
ОтветитьThis is a great video, it help me find the leak on my corolla.
ОтветитьThank you very much sir. I have the same issue in my Prius 2015, it uses the same engines and looks so similar. Do you have any tips how to unhook the tensioner in hybrid? I am not sure it has the crankshaft pulleys over there. But I think I can pull it from the harmonic balancer pulley
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьSo freaking crazy. A few weeks back I saw your transmission oil change and I noticed the car you were working had the same small oil leak on the back of the engine. I was just about to go back and look for that video since you brought up the leak but didn't go into to much and wouldn't you know it searched up hoping to find a good video and BAM! your video was recommended so I'm super happy. Thanks for the amazing work keep it up definitely subbing 🔥🔥🔥. I forgot to ask would you recommend I replace the rubber seal? Or is there a way to somewhat permanently seal it to stop future leaks. How do you properly clean the tensioner and what type of fluid do i lubricate it please 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
ОтветитьThe dealer told me my timing cover is leaking and it will cost $3,000 to repair, after cleaning myself and watching videos like this I R&R my tensioner, to soon to tell yet if it stopped the leak, but thanks for keeping us informed.
ОтветитьMAYBE IT HELPS IF YOU SHOW US HOW TO FIX IT
ОтветитьI need an appointment where do I call ?
ОтветитьThank you very much for this content!!!
ОтветитьCan you seal from outside with rtv?
ОтветитьI am also having this issue on my 09 corolla. Does anyone know what I could expect to pay for this at a shop? Thank you
Ответитьhow comes is hard for me to install my new chain tentioner
ОтветитьCan it start leaking a lot more and cause dripping of oil to the ground after parking? Thank you
ОтветитьHow much would your estimate be to fix this leak?
ОтветитьThank you so much!!! I'm looking at this 3 years after you made this video and it's really helpful!
