what makes me feel weird (as someone in GCSE Music and someone who has a songwriting background) is that all his supposedly happy songs are in minor keys, so it gives off this rlly eerie feeling. Maybe it’s from his dad or Bangladeshi folk music or smth, I haven’t done any research, but I feel like anyone with basic music knowledge knows that minor keys aren’t generally used for happy songs 😭 (no hate to him ofc)

I can actually hear the South Asian folk music inspiration in the songs. If you've heard a Bollywood song you might be able to catch it. I bet these would sound much better in the singer's native language, or if he had a better understanding of english he might be able to make it work better. I don't hate it actually!
